I was getting some snacks and breakfast stuff at a drug store and this girl in line was looking at me as I came up then she had her head slightly turned to the side to where she could watch me. I was just trying to get in get my stuff and leave
Just assure yourself that if you struck up a conversation, she would soon realize you were okay. With zero information, she is guarded. Be confident in yourself, knowing that you're not the type she's afraid of and her rudeness (or awkward flirting) toward you is only temporary.

I know a woman who, when she tells guys all the things she does to protect herself from assault, they think she's crazy. When she tells women, they relay some incident they experienced that led them to adopt a tactic that she hadn't considered.
When I've been with a woman long enough that she opens up as to what she's been subjected to, I get really angry that this wonderful person I'm so fond off was treated so poorly--grinding on a crowded train, up-skirt shots, sexual harassment even by a bank officer, regularly being shoved while using sidewalks, rape. The appeal to a woman of dating a jerk is coming to make more sense to me: having a badass on her side to scare off even bigger jerks.

+1 yBecause it only takes ONE to ruin her life. It’s only prudent to protect yourself from potential threats. It doesn’t matter if there’s only ever been one attack on a woman in her entire lifetime. Not preparing herself for that possibility is just plain stoopid. It gets more stoopid with every documented case, and compounds for every case in the areas she lives, works, goes to skool, and travels through.
You can take it personally if you want, but i’d say you’re being overly sensitive. Nobody owes you anything they didn’t agree to; least of all their trust that you have done nothing to earn.35 Reply
Asker+1 yBut I wasn’t doing anything I was just minding my own business if anything I should be freaked out that she kept watching me

You’re being deliberately obtuse. I should have known better than to respond to an anonymous post.
Asker+1 yNot really I was the person being watched I wasn’t doing anything is this a gender double standard

@Asker. I don't always agree with @chazmatazz269. But in this case he is spot on. The second a woman lets down her guard, her life could change forever. And what have you lost by her being wary of you? So you're a little bit upset by it,. What if you had a sister in her position and a guy she had never met before was in your shoes?

Love the word obtuse.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yFirst of all, ALL women don’t do that. Even if it happened to you more than once it still isn’t ALL women. Second, there’s no problem with being vigilant of your surroundings. You are taking it personal when it isn’t. You don’t know the woman or what she’s been through or what she was even thinking.
If you were previously robbed walking down a certain street are you not going to be vigilant of anyone you encounter when you walk down that street again, regardless of what they look like?00 Reply
They don’t. And if you feel they do, you must be giving off creepy vibes that those women sense.

Asker+1 ySo if I’m just walking to the register with the items I want to check out and she’s looking at me as I walk up then looking at me through her peripheral isn’t that abnormal I mean I was even standing a good distance back from her because of it cause it was weirding me out I was thinking what did I do
Asker+1 yI didn’t entertain that thought because honestly never dated and never had a girlfriend so if a girl is looking at me my brain is going to she thinks I’m creepy

+1 yBecause they spend their entire lives being told that as a woman, they're constantly under threat of attack, and EVERYONE is out to get them, and they're helpless and unable to protect themselves in any way beyond treating everyone as a threat.
Repeating a lie often enough doesn't actually MAKE it true, but it makes people THINK it's true.

Asker+1 yBut like I was far away like she was watching me walking up the register also I had my hands full and then to watch me out of her peripheral it just made me think things why I don’t like coming outside anymore

It's based on fear, not logic.
Asker+1 yOne of these opinions said what if she was checking you out and I was like that never happens to me

60% of rapes go unreported. You are the delusional one.

@Radiate143 It's actually more like 90%- but the majority of offenders are women, so that's not the least bit relevant. Troll smarter next time.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yBecause some are and it has to be constantly on your mind. The second you relax, someone'll take advantage.

Asker+1 ySo she was looking at me from a distance when I was coming up to the register then watching from her peripheral I just don’t get it I was just trying to check out

What a way to live, lol. Feminist brainwashing is doing women no favours
+1 yShe is attracted to shitty people and instead of doing some self work to be healthy she projects her shitty choices by treating all of a group as if they are going to wrong her.
