However I can tell you without a resounding doubt this in no way compares to how so many women lust after assholes.
I might have a fleeting attraction to a bitchy girl just as long as she at least semi attractive. It’s a curiosity that maybe she has a sweeter side and outs on a hard front However myself (and most men) won’t tolerate it very long. For me it’s a few weeks at best. And once i confirm she truly is selfish piece of sh*t then I move on quick. I don’t care how hot she is.
But women will stay attracted to assholes for months, years and they will even marry them.

Most women use sex and marriage to obtain "status", money, and power. Even if they are already rich, they expect to marry and abuse a man richer than themselves to further increase their own riches. (Mariah). A six-hundred-millionaire married a billionaire, and within 6 months they are divorced and fighting over money.
Men use sex and marriage for physical and psychological pleasure.
If a woman makes 20k per year, she expects the man to make 50k.
If she makes 50k, she expects the man to make 100k.
If she makes 100k, she thinks she "deserves" a millionaire.
If she is a millionaire, she obviously expects to marry a billionaire.

Probably the same reasons some women are into men who treat them badly. I really have no idea. Some people have options. But end up in abusive relationships.
Some people also get off as you said it seems to being treated bad. Someone who has double standards. Like someone whose always late. But. You’re never allowed to be late. Expect you to do things for them like pay for their dates even if they asked you to go. But never pay themselves or get you anything unless it’s dirt cheap. But want you buying expensive stuff. But. Being expected to cook or clean is sexist.
Obviously not all women are like this. Not all men are bad.
But some either pick the wrong people. Then hate the whole other sex.
