Why do you like being single?

I'll start off by sharing some personal experiences and opinions on this topic.

My parents were never married and my mother has never gotten married to anyone after her and my dad broke up she's never had many relationships but it hasn't bothered her as such but I have decided that ever since I was 11 years old, I made the decision that I was not interested in getting married although I love wedding dresses and wedding receptions I do not want a marriage as it holds a lot of responsibilities but I will give some reasons as to why I like being single and living alone

1. All bills are cheaper (because it's only me)

2. I enjoy only having to prepare meals for myself.

3. I'm able to keep the house clean and organized the way that I like it without having to consider anyone else's thoughts and opinions.

4. I don't want a serious committed relationship because I do not have to worry about the thought of someone doing something behind my back and stupid mind games.

5. I have no desire to live with a guy because I enjoy living alone I like having my own privacy and my own space and not having to answer to anyone.

6. I don't have to worry about looking perfect every single day for my man so that he won't complain about me "looking a mess" around the house.

7. If I date a guy and we spend time together, I can either go to his house or he can come to my house or we can book a hotel room and spend our entire day together out and then at the end of the day, we both go back to OUR OWN houses.

8. Divorce costs too much money and I don't have to worry about him complaining about me not wanting to sign a fucking prenup.

9. If I break up with a guy, I no longer have to see nor deal with him for the rest of my life because we do not have children.

10. I also do not have to make compromises and have to consider anyone else's feelings and can come and go as I please and I don't have to worry about "my man" being inappropriate with other women. I'll go with casual dating.

No heartbreak do what I want when I want whenever I want have chats with men but not date them a good laugh with them at a pub orr club night out no being told you can't do this and that just freedom I'm from Scotland I want my freedom and without a lover I have it I'm happy alone am sick of being hurt for nothing but helping they think of I can see she loves me so much I will just do this and that and she won't leave I have some trust issues with relationships and my trouble is I fall in love to quick that I end up in to deep and get heartbroken

Great way to convince yourself to be a lonely old woman soon.
Eating alone, talking to a pet, sleeping alone, staring at others with good laughs and sometimes some arguments.

I was divorced…that didn’t harden my heart to find love again and build an amazing family with love, joy, laughter, connection, wealth, company and community…and much more..

I’ve never been with a woman who could accept me as i am. They’ve all tried to manipulate and control me. The ones who succeeded grew bored and dumped me. The ones who didn’t grew frustrated and dumped me.
I accept myself exactly as i am. The peace of mind is cathartic. The peace and quiet in my life is refreshing.

At first, it was a choice to be single currently is not a choice. I need to get things in order to figure out what I want sort of speak I was ready. Dating seem like mental gymnastics, and I didn’t know how to navigate it. Still don’t somewhat but I am now up for the challenge with the right person

I don't. I have been single for maybe 6 months in total since the age of 12 and hated every minute of it. Life has much more meaning when it is shared with someone.

the biggest thing is: when i'm planning my day, i don't need to take anyone else into consideration. i can just do what the hell i want at any moment.

I would have to give up or greatly curtail my passion if I had a partner, because it's quite niche.
