Do you like being single?

For all you single folks - do you like being single and why yes/no? What are the pros and cons? Is anyone completely single or do you also hook up while being single? Those that are single completely and don't have anything in between, what's that like?

All depends on what you mean by single. I for one love being single but I am in a committed monogamous relationship with a women out side of marriage. So if you think my being in a committed relationship is not being single then I disagree. I still consider myself single.

Really what is the difference between being married or just in a committed relationship? Just saying this idea that people must be married these days is a getting old. Fact is single people have greater freedom in life, if our SO stops treading like a king or queen then you can move on with the fullest protection of law. But married people, just tough it out with each other because they have to go through that legal process... I have always stayed happier being in a committed relationship with a single women over marrying her. Once you get married the man and women eventually do not put the same effort into it over time... not like it was when they were single.

To me it's not a problem but I feel like the longer i spend single the harder it's going to be for me to be in a relationship cause it's all freedom when you are single when it comes to time and decisions, all that will change and it's something I will have to get used too, making sacrifices, choices I don't necessarily like and use my time with other things because at that point I have someone else to care for besides myself and I feel like is a completely different lifestyle when I'm used to being alone.

I do enjoy being single.

Even so, I'm lucky that two years ago a beautiful women moved into our community who has two adult children. The son is a civil engineer, as am I (retired) and the daughter is a Formula 1 fanatic- although she loves Lewis Hamilton, while I'm a diehard Ferrari fan.

My SO says that "You have more in common with my kids than I do."
