To me it’s no different as them being on a date. Just them 2 with neither spouse there. Alcohol is guaranteed to be involved. I feel as though it’s a recipe for disaster with the lowered inhibitions.

You definitely wouldn't be able to be married to lawyers or executives who pull long hours at the office. Who order in dinner often and get home after a 14 hour day. I for one don't need a suspicious woman treating me like I'm cheating after working my ass off all day, and ordered Pad Thai for dinner and it was just Brittany my paralegal there and myself. I honestly believe, in any given relationship, if a couple has a continues open and transparent communication between each other, then one surely will also have faith and trust in their partner and wouldn’t question their motives of having dinner with a friend of the opposite sex. There is always a reason as to why someone cheats on their partner. You don’t wake up one day, in a happy and transparent relationship, and go on a cheating spree.

We have total faith in our marriage and total trust in each other, that we are totally okay for the other to have dinner, cocktails, after work with just one friend of the opposite sex.

I suppose I would have to be "okay with it". I went to 'lunch' with a woman I have known for many years, and she is married, and do not know if she told her husband or not? For me, it was nothing but a lunch with a friend, since we worked together for several years in Aerospace, and I had been to dinner in their home on occasion.
