So I have been friends with this girl for one year, and our relationship is mostly built on teasing and banter, however, we both care deeply for one another. Anyways since we were just friends I decided to tell her who I liked about 3 months ago, and she just randomly stopped teasing me and became a little bit shyer around me.

Eventually I began to like her and she found out and couldn't stop smiling, but I messed up and told her I "didn't know," and she told me to let her know when I do, until then she ignored me a ton but still kept staring at me. But we did talk it over and we admitted we liked one another but she said we should be friends and maybe we could be more.

I took that as a rejection and decided it would be best to get over her by ignoring her, and I did that. But she noticed it and became really sad, whenever she looked at me her eyes would get watery.

However, I never really showed interest (shy nature) and I guess she got impatient and began trying to make me jealous by getting friendly with my friends, and she did it really badly one time I ignored her for about 3 weeks until she randomly asked me how I did on the test, and we compared it and she again got really touchy and physical.

Today when I got in the room the teacher asked a question and she knows I knew the answer and she said "What is it, [my name]?" with this huge smile on her face. Then later as we were taking notes she looked at me a few times (while I wasn't looking) and was twirling her hair crazily while staring.

I'm just confused, she said we were just friends.. did she change her mind or am I over exaggerating things?

Basically for a year you've been friends with two guys; you tease both guys a lot. One moves away, but you still have one left. He's only in 1 of your classes, but it's all fun. However, you end up developing feelings for him, and he doesn't. He ends up accidentally rejecting you by telling you who he likes, he never even knew you liked him. Because of it, you end up stop teasing him and talking to him, he senses it but doesn't know what to do. But you still playfully poke him and call him names occasionally, but because of the rejection you aren't the same. Anyways, he ends up developing feelings for you and you find out because his friends tell you without his permission. You both talk it out, and agree you both like one another. But you only want to be friends because you don't want to ruin the friendship. However, you end up playing hot and cold with him, and it frustrates him to hell because of it. Finally, you do it again and it's his last straw. He goes and ignores you for a week and a half. You try getting his attention, staring, but nothing's working. Suddenly, you're becoming less social, outgoing, and am becoming shy; especially around him.

Point is, are you becoming shy around him because you miss him?
