I think some groups are more compatible than others and some groups should just stay away from the other.
I think Asians and whites make more sense together. Actually AM/WF couples have the lowest divorce rates and second lowest is AF/WM. These two groups also have the highest household income across all racial groups.



Overall studies show Asian/white couples of any combo make a good pair. As well with Hispanic/White couples. Culturally these groups all share similar beliefs and morals. Family, hard work, education, and lean more conservative.

As far worst pairings, I would say any group with black would be a bad pairing. Culturally blacks and other groups are like night and day. Particularly Asian/blacks, and whites/blacks.

Black culture seems to celebrate more thug lifestyle. The typical black American family is headed by a single mother who has children with multiple men and the father (s) are absent. Work ethic, family, and education don't seem to be of importance in black American culture which directly contrast with other groups. Also politically blacks and whites differ the most and the difference is stark. I personally feel black men don't gain much from marrying white women as they have the highest divorce rates and all together very low income. While BW/WM make more total income than the reverse, but their divorce rates are almost as high as black men/white women meaning these couples aren't lasting due to incompatibility. As shown all men (except Asian men who go for Latina's) are most interested in Asian women. Because they make the most ideal marriage partners. Whereas no men were interested in black women because overall they don't make good marriage partners, even to other black men.

All women want white men (except black women) because they make ideal marriage partners and know marrying a white man comes with status. Whereas no woman wants a black partner except black women who only prefer black men.

Personally, I think it can work as long as both individuals are mature and especially if they discuss the possibility of dating together. I have a couple female friends. My oldest female friend (BFFs for 4+ years) I was/am attracted to. Then I realized we'd be better off as friends due to a couple of reasons (religion mainly and looking for different things in relationships). But as time went on, I totally friend-zoned her because she's an awesome person. Now she's dating a guy that's great for her and I'm happy, though maybe a little jealous. Not because I want to date her but because we don't get to hangout as much :(

I can say with a straight face that if she asked me out, I would say no. And if she tried to sleep with me (she's not that kind of girl, strongly in the wait-til-marriage camp), I would turn her down.

I've known people who swore that guys and girls can never be friends because one person will fall for the other. But for me, once dating is no longer a possibility and since I've never been one to randomly hookup, it's like flipping a switch in how I see the other person. I made lots of friends by approaching people at school/in public who I think are cute, and then befriending them if dating isn't an option or something I want to pursue. Even met my ex this way. The way I see it with approaching them is that best case it's a long-term relationship or a solid friendship, worst-case they look at me funny then forget about it in 5 minutes. What do you think?

Tl;dr I think yes as long as both people are emotionally mature and address the elephant in the room.
