Last year around this time I started dating someone. Before we made it official I told him that I wasn't sure that I wanted to be in a relationship and he said the same thing, but then a few weeks later ended up asking me out. Now, why I said yes when I wasn't sure I wanted to be in a relationship I can't tell you because I don't know myself. Anyway, I ended up breaking things off with im inbetween Christmas and new year's.
I asked him to give me some time because it wasn't that I didn't like him, I just wasn't sure I wanted to be in a relationship. I told him that at that time all I could offer him was friendship, and he told me that he couldn't accept that and still tried to hit me up all the time and what not so I ended up blocking him on social media and my phone. He facebook messaged me and told me that he was sorry and if that's all I could offer he would accept that for the moment. Long story short, he couldn't follow through on that and I ended up not talking to him.
Over the summer he texted me and asked me to hang out but he was talking about more of a "hook up" and I wasn't down for that so I told him no. A few days later, I text him asking if he wanted to hang out and he said sure and we set up a time and place, but I bailed on him. I felt terrible about it but I didn't think it was a good idea. I wanted to be his friend before I became his girlfriend because I think that those make the strongest relationships. So I didn't talk to him for a while after this.
However, last week I text him apologizing for bailing last time and asking him if he wanted to hangout and I would definitely show this time and he said okay. I got to his house last Wednesday and we hung out for an hour playing rockband. I went back again Thursday and we watched Game of Thrones for a couple hours and then we ended up having sex, and cuddling and acting really coupley. My friend and I have turned from good friends to best friends within the last year. But, things seem different from about Christmas of last year. He's always bringing up the fact that I don't give head (long story about why I don't) and we're always talking about sexual preferences (to which he always says he likes when girls make the first move). He remembers little things that some of my best girl friends dont even remember, sent me a picture of strip cards against humanity rules, and saves me from guys at the bar by pretending to be my boyfriend. We were in random conversation one time and asked if that thing from how i met my your mother (where a guy gets naked and waits on your bed for you) would work on me. There are other examples but that's what I can think of off the top of my head. I don't know what do you guys think? We were friends freshman year through junior year but got a lot closer senior year (correlating with the fact that I got better looking, is the only weird part about that). This all could be a coincidence and me looking too much into it but I'd rather know before I sleep over his house again after a party and not think anything of it when he wakes up in just his underwear the next morning. (but I guess sleeping in jeans sucks right?)

My ex and I had dated for 3 years (9.14.11) and he's enlisted in the Army. He got sent back in the middle of October because he hurt himself badly and he needed to recover. We spent this time together. He got sent back a few weeks later then came back for Christmas leave.

During Christmas things were great and I when to his father's house and cooked everyone dinner. We all exchanged gifts and had a great time. Things got bumpy around New Years.

On New Years Eve, I wanted to go out to a party and watch the ball drop but he wanted to be introvert and stay home. He said, "I don't know those people I just want to stay home with you." I understood that but we did that every single year!

The party was being hosted by his older sisters friends and I didn't know them either so I figured we could get to know people as a couple. I brought this up in conversation and he was still against it. He told me he had something planned for us. That same night (8ish) we watched Netflix movies and cuddled (what we do every year). Around 10pm we argued about why we couldn't do anything different. It lasted all the way till 12 and we didn't kiss or anything (great resolution I know - __-). The took me home and the whole car ride I cried because he said some things that hurt me terribly. I had an anxiety attack as well.

The next day I realized that after the night before we had way more differences than I thought. I tried to suggest things but he wouldn't budge. Then I said if you won't change for the benefit of us then you will never change and we'll continue to argue. We broke up the same day. I said I needed space.

He left two days after for basic and we've been writing evers since. We talked on the phone earlier this month but it was brief. I miss him but I'm scared he'll never change. He graduates on the 19th this month and he asked was I coming. Its a 6 hour drive and his parents are coming. I miss him.

My question is should I go and try to resolve some things?
