So I was at a party at my friend's house a small while ago and his cousin was there who I have only briefly met once before. He is very good looking, has a good sense of humor, has many similar interests to me and seemed to enjoy talking to me. However, we were the only two not drinking tho so maybe it was just because we were both sober?
Anyway, we spent the whole night and early morning talking to each other about anything and everything, joking around and so on. He also complimented my voice when I was singing a short verse alone to set the melody for a song everyone would sing later. That doesn't happen often since I don't really sing much. We recommended music and movies to each other as well.
One last thing, when the whole group went to a fair in the evening, he kept on stealing my cotton candy despite more people having it (he only took mine), joined the small group I was in when we all split up (his cousin wasn't in the group and he knew all of us for literally just a few hours at that point) and also left the fair early with this group. There were only four of us, two being a couple that wanted to see a park on the way home. Instead of waiting for them, he suggested going ahead of them only the two of us so we did. There was no awkward silence, we kept on chatting the whole time.
I think I have a bit of a crush on him since he is really nice and sweet but I'm not sure if he was just being friendly or if I actually have a chance. Do you think he could be interested in me also?

When I ask this question, I hope I don’t come across as a total asshole

My parents, my gamer friend and the last guy I “dated” have all had success with dating apps. My parents are older and heavier than me, my dad tends to attract good looking women. My mom met her long term partner on a dating app and says that if she was single, she probably wouldn’t have an issue using them. Quote, she says it’s because she isn’t worried with making the first move to approach guys. I told her that I did message first here and there but still didn’t help the situation.

My gamer friend is older than me but says that he thinks a lot of people on dating apps are looking for something long term. I don’t find him good looking but he is friendly and confident (maybe a bit on the conceited side). My “ex” is not attractive but he has a good sense of humor and is friendly too.

I’m reserved but I don’t think that makes a difference, a lot of quiet people have found their match. I know I’m not beautiful but I know I’m better looking than all the people I just mentioned and still fail with finding the right one. What’s the issue here?
