Is it normal to crave intimacy?

Hi, I'm a female. 30 years old. And it might sound crazy but I'm a virgin. I have a boyfriend (27), he's the only boyfriend I've had. We both have good paying jobs, he actually has a very important spot in a multinational company. He is handsome and beautiful, I'm in love with him, and he says he loves me, but he is not really into showing affection, he rarely touches me and even though, sometimes I try caressing him but he usually doesn't allow me to touch too much, he is very religious and I am too, I understand his point but you know, it's kind of sad cause we've been together for many years and he is not proposing or anything, and he is not a virgin, I am. However, I'm not gonna dive deep in that topic, we don't live together and we have a nice good chemistry and respect each other, but that's it. My question here is; is it normal that I'm currently going through a huge urge of intimacy? not exactly sex, but intimacy with a male significant other, and I wish I felt desired. I feel like maybe I'm not attractive and that's probably making me not desirable to anyone, specially to him, I don't know what to think anymore, my body is slim, small breasted and brunette hair, not pretty face honestly, although I have great academic education and speak many languages, have great sense of humor, love to travel, I mean, at least I'm not a dumb. Any advice or thoughts? Thank you.
