My boyfriend (of 8 years) keeps the fan on every night and I’ve never complained. However, lately I’ve gotten tired of freezing every fall/winter. I have a disease that prevents me from regulating my body temperature, so I am especially sensitive to cold. There is an air conditioner on his side of the bed he could run the fan on without bothering me, but he won’t. He also insists that we sleep on top of the sheets/comforter with a single mexican blanket covering us.

I just turned off the ceiling fan and now he’s legitimately angry. He claims there’s no air circulating, even though I cracked the window. I mentioned the air conditioning fan option and he’s still mad. Every time I try to talk about anything, he tries to start a fight about the fan. I honestly think it’s ridiculous to run it when freezing outside anyways. He even complained all through the night about being cold himself. It seems like he just doesn’t want to take my comfort into consideration at all. Am I being ridiculous? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Growing up, my father was very neglectful and cold, and whenever he did decide to pay attention to me, he would terrorize me. When my mother would go to work and left me at home with him, I was never fed, bathed, or shown affection. If I tried to get him to notice me, he would scream at me to “Go away!” or “Leave me alone!” I would tell my mother all the time what he would do, and she never did anything about it and still stayed with him, no matter what. Mind you, I was 4-6 years old when I had to endure this bullshit. At an age I couldn’t take care of my own needs. Also, this is all just a small portion of what he did.

As I got older into my teenage years from the age of 9, things have changed, but he kept his neglectful ways. My mother was still with him, and she would always say “I know he doesn’t show it, but he does love you.” She just didn’t want to leave because, yet again, she was dependent. I will admit that I had a terrible attitude, but it was mostly because I hated my family. I still do. I hated the fact that I had to fucking deal with a father who didn’t give one single shit about me or well-being, and a passive aggressive mother who let him do whatever he pleased. He would drink beer every fucking day, and whenever he got drunk, he acted like an intolerable, blunt asshole who would mock and make fun of me for everything. I was sick and fucking tired of it. Seriously.

I got this new job to now I'm working 7am to 4:30 pm. So I have a longer day to myself I use to work 12:55pm to 9:55pm they paid so much less too! Sitting on my ass! Getting cussed out everyday by people go home go right to sleep shower eat in the a. m. Smh but now at this job all I do is come home and feel a bit restless im tired of coming home doing the same thing showering (I love a long hot shower lol) microwave food, eat, then maybe gym if I'm up for it.(I actually avoid going) I work at Amazon I'm like seriously on my feet for hours. My lower back kills me. Yes I'm complaining because I just started a week ago smh lol my back still burning! I just moved to Vegas 7 months ago no friends here just family... I feel like I don't want this to become a ongoing cycle... don't get me wrong i'am a big fan of routine. I just want to stop being so introverted and start actually dating I've been single forever! lol my life need some spark to it, its so dull and boring hahaha! Vegas is the place to be for fun but I been here almost a year shit gets boring escpecially if you broke! And sometimes I don't like being around a lot of drunk people. I think I'm just too reserved and boring! Lol I'm definitely adding gag to my routine please follow!
