My best friend and I got into a fight recently. About a boy, I'm now dating and I really really like. To start off, I broke up with my ex boyfriend about three months ago and met my boyfriend when I went to my grandma's house for a two weeks and a half. Turns out he goes to my uni but is just in a different department. When we both returned from our vacation, we constantly met up after school, and I din't tell my friends because I was afraid they'd judge me for seeing someone right after my break up so I was waiting for the right moment.

Two weeks ago, my friend tells me she likes someone from her part-time job and everything. I ended up finding out it was my boyfriend. During that time, I stopped talking to my boyfriend and basically broke up with him but staying away from him hurt too much and we ended up getting back together.

Because of this, I decided to tell my friend I was dating him and she didn't react well. She got mad and called me a slut and that I was stealing every man from her because, she used to like my ex boyfriend too but he liked me. Before him, there was another guy in our high school who we both liked but he liked me instead and I decided not to pursue anything with him at that time.

I feel terrible towards her and now she says she doesn't want anything to do with me. Our friends found out and now, half of them are saying I'm at fault but I honestly don't think and I can't break up with my boyfriend because I seriously love him way too much to give him up. Yet I do want to make it up to her.

How can I fix things with her and keep the person I love? Is it really my fault her crushes liked me back? This isn't even a boasting post where I'm trying to look desirable. I never did anything to make them like me.

In a world where people gossip, I wouldn’t answer just any question in real life, not even my partner. I like to be a closed book and let people assume the rest. I wouldn’t answer questions like
Questions about politics...
“What are your political views?”
“What are your views on interracial relationships?”
”How do you feel about gender”
I don’t want to be making enemies within this political divided country and lowering my chances of finding the right guy... Or people to think I’m a liberal, racist, trashy or etc. based on my answer.

Questions about who I would or wouldn’t date...
“Would you date outside your race?” or “would you date ____ people?” or “what is your favorite hair/eye/skin color on a significant other”
Even if the person, who has a trait I don’t like, isn’t into me, it could make them feel bad about themselves if I answer these kind of questions. For example, if my partner has brown hair, I wouldn’t want him to feel bad knowing that strawberry blond hai is my favorite hair color on a man.

Questions about my family
“What are your parents like as a couple?” It’s no ones business about my family’s whereabouts and who they are.

Questions about my health
Again, no one’s business

Questions about my sexuality
Again it’s no one’s business. I’m a virgin and I keep that a secret in real life because it’s embarrassing for someone my age to be a virgin. I don’t like virgin hunters that much either. I don’t want people to be confused about my sexuality either just because they know I liked a masculine girl in high school. Or to think that I am more likely to cheat on my partner just because I crave sex a lot.

There are a few questions though, I wouldn’t answer on here or in real life either.

I was introduced to someone (they) that either has low self of esteem or is a narc. I believe the mutual friend knew this somehow because it slipped that they liked and wanted to be with the mutual first!! I was never interested in getting with anyone but the mutual would not stop hyping me up about potentially finding a partner before an event where they'd be there. They were very needy/touchy with me from the jump I feel for it, thought I'd take them under my wing but dating and gifts and ily's were pushed on me way to fast. Before that though the mutual, they, and I would be hanging out and the mutual would push they to get my number. Meanwhile there were times where the mutual would get annoyed that they would be texting too much and would tell me to tell they not to text or they'd be blocked. Either way I knew they still liked the mutual and the mutual would flirt back knowing we were 'dating'. Like make up your mind do you hate them or want to be with him. They and the mutual have hung out together while we were dating but certain events would slip out that seemed minor but they reacted as if they weren't supposed to say anything and would change the subject. Meanwhile the mutual would not text me to ask about they as much as other relationships, say what happened when hanging out, and wouldn't seem surprised or would seem dismissive over anything I brought up about they in person saying "they did that to me too". Either way I believe that they was bothering the mutual so much that the bone was throne to me so she could be left alone but once she saw the outward things they'd do for me the mutual became jealous or changed mind about throwing the bone and knows that the bone can easily be taken back because they like the mutual first. Both they and the mutual are gone from my life because I don't trust them. I just want to know if that sound right or similar to anybody
