So I sometimes help out at a friend's hotel cause his older front desk gal isn't much into this covid stuff. Anyway this morning I was seeing a chap to his room (after he locked himself out) and during the elevator ride we were really having a good chat.

Anyway as we headed towards the room he made a quip about there may be a naked woman in his bed (there wasn't). I know I'm decently good looking - I certainly attract attention from guys without trying (no makeup, no revealing clothes). But just the way he said it & the elevator chattering it's like huh. Being funny or an attempt at flirting.

I have been taking lessons at a dojo and I have found that in every lesson so far my sensei has been extra attentive to me.

I find that he makes a lot of jokes in my presence and would always laugh and look at me as if he is seeing if I found him funny.

I asked if I could buy another mask from him for karate and he ended up sneakily giving me one for free and told me to not tell anyone.

I do feel like certain things is of course because he is a great sensei. So he is very encouraging and understanding which is expected but he would make statements that sometimes feel like there may be an undertone or something else.

I would often find that he would look at me regularly while we wait for the other students to arrive. Where I would feel like someone is looking, I'd look and he is staring but as soon as i see him looking he looks away.

His tone of voice gets a lot softer when he speaks to me. He cracks a lot of jokes around me. He also seems like he is almost happy to see me.

Even though I find him cracking jokes and looking at me, he seems to be a bit fidgety when we are in close proximity when we aren't busy with a lesson. He seems to be a bit shy. Which I feel is contradictory.. I'm so confused.

I dont know if him joking a lot and staring could be the way he is flirting or if he is just being nice.

I would like to become his friend but I don't know how to shift those dynamics of student/sensei to friend/sensei.

We are about the same age, for added context.

So pretty much I have social anxiety but I also crave to fit in and make friends.. and I wanna show people my interesting side of me... so I do really weird things.

Today I was sitting next to someone who I've only spoken to about 3 times before, he was spamming my other friend on discord while the teacher was talking about work, so I opened up my discord and went on this server I was on that he was also on (but I do not talk on this server and only know like 2 people on it ) anyway I clicked on his username and sent him a friend request.

I then found it ridiculously funny for whatever reason and looked over at his computer to see the notification I sent. He then opened it and then looked at me and I was laughing, he just smiled confusedly than accepted it.

I then messaged him "Hi" he said "hello" I said "I was bored lol" he said "fairo."

Now Ik it is probably really weird and the dude may think I was flirting with him.. but in reality I just really wanted friends, and I don't know why but I thought hmm why not add this dude, seems pretty funny, maybe if I add him on discord then he will think that its okay to talk to me more irl. Anyway I now regret it and feel like he finds me creepy af now. But srs I was just overcompensating for my shyness and didn't want to come off as so reserved so I did the most impulsive thing, but yeah might of over done it. I didn't think it through, I just wanted to befriend him.. what is wrong with me seriously. How awkward is this? and do you think that guy is going to hate me now? (I've done things similar to this before. once on a gc I randomly stream shared me playing minecraft despite me being silent through the call, another time I randomly emailed someone a meme out of nowhere to make sure they weren't mad at me.. so I just do weird sht.. I don't know to spice up the day or what fk all)
