Life is full of daily tests and momentary difficulties and the dating scene is no different. Stress increases when a problem suddenly appears and our brain tries to work fast and under pressure. Unless... we use strategies ~ aka the so-called Life Hacks.
The term refers to productivity tricks that can be applied to overcome difficulties and complete everyday tasks. Today, anything that solves daily problems in a smart and not obvious way can be called Life Hack.
I chose some of my favorites Life... well, "Love Hacks" in this case ~ to share them with men who are sometimes too shy or too eager when it comes to the basics of everything: the beginning. The terrifying flirting skills. For those who never know what to do to get a girl's attention ~ virtually or in person ~ maybe these few ideas can open your eyes.
Ps.: The tips written here are just an idea, not a rule. So, if you don't agree with them, don't kill the messenger!
~ Ditch the cheesy lines.
~~ She won’t think you’re clever ~ instead, she’ll think you have absolutely no game. Pick-up lines are tiresome and old, and girls often don’t know how to respond after a new guy says she must have “fallen from heaven.” In order to get her attention, you’ll want to be a little more genuine that she can actually have something to say back to.
~ There are ways to compliment a woman’s appearance without going overboard.
~~ Don’t even think about complimenting her on her chest or butt, because those will instantly set off a warning. Instead, focus on her eyes or her smile.
~ Use your sense of humour.
~~ When you joke with a girl, try to start by making a topical reference or use observational humour. The best way to show interest is to try cracking a joke and seeing where things go from there. Making a conversation fun and hilarious is easier than you might think. But of course, how you make a girl laugh depends on your personality and sense of humour.
~~ If you’re trying to flirt in person, a smile will take you very far. It’ll show her that you enjoy being around her and that she makes you happy. In general, people seem to gravitate towards positivity. It’ll also help your confidence.
~~ If you can control your approach anxiety, all you have to do make eye contact and smile a couple of times before walking up to her. If she reciprocates, she’s giving you an invitation to come to say hello.
~~ If they're wearing a band shirt, ask her about it. It will make you seem sincere and interested in her life, and it will start a nice conversation where you can learn more about each other.
~ Show you're interested in their life.
~~ Everyone loves a compliment, and most people love to talk about themselves. If you get a chance to talk to your crush, don't let it go to waste. Ask them lots of questions about their life and show that you truly are interested. They'll appreciate how curious you were about them and they'll be looking forward to another conversation.
~ Use inside jokes and references from previous conversations.
~ Texting is a permanent record. Avoid arguing on the text.
~ Avoid drunk texting and late-night texting.
~~ Do not get upset if she doesn't respond. You don't know what kind of day she is having. Her reasons for not replying could have nothing to do with you
~ Never use ALL CAPS.
~~ Use a text to set up a call. Calling is better than texting when you are asking her out on a date.
~ Open up the conversation by asking her a goofy question.
~~ Like, would she rather eat pizza for the rest of her life or pasta? Would she rather be a cat or a dog? What are the three books she’d bring with her on a deserted island? These questions are hard to resist and can lead to a lot of fun conversations.
~ Do not send open-ended texts like, "Hey what's going on?
~~ Don't try and overly impress her on the text. Save this for face to face.
~~ If you do not know how to respond, do nothing. Do not get serious on text messages. Keep the conversation fun and playful.
~ Find a movie you want to see, and text her about whether or not she’s seen it yet.
~~ It’ll make her wonder whether or not you’ll extend an invite to see it together. Even if it’s something she’s not interested in, it’s a nice move that’ll make her realize you’re interested and want to spend more time together.
Remember, women don’t have to respond to your request. So in the beginning, you don’t want her to feel trapped or cornered into making plans she’s simply not interested in.
~ Humor will save you. When in doubt be funny.
