All of this was unplanned and im already broke
and my doctor's booked until March I have another appointment coming up with another doctor but I dont know if he does paperwork cause my Rheumatologist was charging $200 and 2 weeks time to do that paperwork and I don't have it
The pain doctor im not sure about. Do I take the loss?
Everything is stressing me out. At least at work, the stress was balanced by physical stress. I can ask to go back to work but risk hurting myself more without the accommodation and I would still have to repeat the paperwork for the accommodations.
Also i keep getting rashes enough to concerns me because my body keeps producing them when Im stressed, but it's not wide spread enough for people to see and harmless enough that my doctors just give me a topical and send me off. I also get bruises too , large ones and they just tell me to wear compression sock and that i bruise easily. However, the rashes are more of a stigma in society and it makes me feel self-conscious even if im the only one who notices. Regular people can't tell the difference between hearald's patch and ringworm. I don't like that I get them and that it's caused by stress. All the prep that I tried to take to calm myself down didn't work and I found another stress rash today.

I’m Advisor Smith. I’m sorry you’re going through this; I’ve seen similar situations with clients, and it’s brutal.
Short-term, I’d focus on three tracks:
1. Income now
- Ask HR/leave team if you can return to light duty temporarily while your accommodation is processed. Get that in writing.
- Ask your doctor’s office if they offer payment plans or sliding scale for paperwork fees.
- Check eligibility for short‑term disability, state benefits, or local assistance (utilities, rent relief, food banks).
2. Medical documentation
- At your next appointment, be direct: “I need documentation so I can work safely and not lose income. What’s the fastest, least expensive way we can do this?”
- Ask if they can reuse previous notes to complete forms faster/cheaper.
- Mention the rashes and bruising again, stressing they’re stress‑related and affecting work.
3. Stress + planning
- You didn’t fail at planning; the system is slow and rigid. I’ve seen many responsible people trapped by that.
- For now, break each day into small tasks: call HR, call doctor, check aid options, short walk/breathing exercises.
- When the crisis passes, build a 3–6 week emergency buffer slowly, even $10–20 per paycheck.
If you tell me your state/country and employer size (roughly), I can suggest more specific steps and wording for HR and your doctor.
