Why is domestic violence against men seen as a joke or simply not believed?

The aker was assaulted and injured by his former partner and when the police arrived they threaten to arrest him. Not her, him. They guy what was just injured and didn't even tried to hit her back.

This is just an example. The situation could be a punch from an angry girlfriend, a slap from a stranger, anything. When a girl hurts a guy with no good reason, what should a guy do?

Hit her back and face potencial charges, but at least you avoid emotional and physical wounds.

Try to hold her and wait for help? Aviod emotional and physical wounds and you don't hit her. But still face charges and depending on how strong she is this might not be an option.

Just take it. Curl, try to protect yourself as much as you can, call help and pray for the best. Aparently you still can get charged for this. Somehow...

Do something darker. Like just take revenge later. When you see her again you just let your anger take over and whatever happens she deserves it anyway.

Other. Another way to deal with the situation.

The most important thing is to have more physical conditioning, flexibility, stamina and agility.
In this kind of wrestling, strength is not the most important.
