My boyfriend is 26, I am 19. We've been living together for 9 months and I don't believe the level of respect we have for each other is mutual. Lately, I've been catching him ogling (not just staring) at other women on his phone or TV. We were at a party one time and a pretty lady on a commercial popped up. He walked right over to the TV and started ogling right in front of me - our friends and I know him well enough that he wasn't interested in the commercial. He thinks I'm naive. I can ogle if I wanted but I personally believe that if I chose to be in a committed relationship with this man, I should set my boundaries and show my respect - even when he's not around. I get that men love to look at pretty women and that looking doesn't always mean they're comparing or cheating. But I personally believe that if this ogling "habit" continues, it betters the chance for the man to be infatuated more easily with other women and lead to cheating.

People often ask why it's a bigger deal for men to stare at women but not vice versa... it's simple. Many men sexualize women.
