Questions: Travel

So I'm going on a road trip next week and questioning if I should bring something for protection. Wondering if most people do this while traveling or no?

And weapons doesn't necessarily mean just a gun, can be other self defense weapons too.

The older I get the more I want to go back to the place where I grew up.

Honestly I miss the old days where people used to dress up to travel. Nowadays it looks like people don't even shower let alone dress up. I'm a frequent traveler and I usually wear something comfortable but on the casual chic side. I personally think that the flip flops and slides and the tracksuits should be left at home. I'm not saying you need to wear a suit or a pair of heels or spend tons of money on an outfit to travel but I think it would be nice to see people who actually put some effort on their choice of clothing.
