my advice to you would be to go to a cosmetology school and ask the instructors what possibilities you have based on what you want. if you live in the los angeles area, I'd suggest going to vidal sassoon academy in santa monica. I'm actually going there next week to get my hair cut really short but I've seen what they've done to long and short hair, and since they are a school, they do it for cheap.
