I think fashion has gotten notably worse over time, along with architecture, food, careers, etc.
Practicing and experiencing personal beauty standards isn't gendered. We don't just enjoy the beauty of nature or a woman, but also embodied for ourselves to reflect the Creator and our inner state. This is evident when homeless men get a wardrobe and haircut change. A person's self image can majorly change a person's mental health and state.
The opposite is true with Heath Ledger leaning into embodying evil in his role of Joker.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/FQ3bWcDa5psIt depends on what kind of job I have. Back at the workshop, I was wearing blue jeans with a belt, sleeveless shirts and work boots because of all the diesel brakes I was assembling, I was wearing slacks, dress shirts and ties when I was working at schools and I was wearing scrubs at the nursing homes. While I’m in the kitchen of the restaurant I’m working now, I still wear my scrubs.
I just wear a t-shirt and jeans. If I could wear shorts I could, but I am off work so early it's no big deal.

This is what I wear.
Guess what gender my boss is…
Probably a lesbian

For men, there are three certainties in life:

@Paige2006 right... Houston is usually a bit cooler than the rest of Texas
and yes, even six years ago or so... it was similar around here, mostly around the 90's
but just six years later and today... we have started to reach the 100's way more often, and way earlier too... April and May can be as hot as summer itself
I wear casual clothing at work and that's my preference
Anything that is comfy but still looks decent is good in my opinion.
1.) Comfortably
2.) The company polo and dress pants.
I've had all three types for my jobs/careers for over 30+ years.
Now my PT gig is jeans and boots and T's or a comfortable shirt.
I'd rather work from home, and not have to dress up.
