Does Jesus really teach that bragging about good deeds cancels God’s reward?

Jesus said if you brag about your good deeds for attention, you will not be rewarded for it, and I have seen people work very very hard to do good deeds, and instead of having good things happen to them, horrible things happen to them and they suffer many years, because they loved to brag about their good deeds for honour and attention.

And Jesus said those that practice virtue signalling are not rewarded for their virtue.

Because Jesus says God rewards secret virtue, which is the virtue you do not brag about, the virtue you hide from the world, and the virtue nobody sees other than God.
