It really depends on the religion and the particular sect within that religion.

Though, for Christianity, even though it is taught that believers are saved by grace, Jesus emphasizes the importance of repentance and how you will know a tree by its fruit.

In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

So, although Christians do not earn their way to heaven, it’s still very important for their repentance to be genuine. And genuine repentance is marked by one’s intentions and actions, not merely their words.

As Jesus said to the woman who committed adultery in John 8:11, “Go and sin no more.”

True repentance is followed by a genuine pursuit of God’s will and holiness.

As for Muslims, there’s a lot of emphasis on doing good deeds. But, when one reads the Qur’an, you can see that over and over and over it’s emphasized that nobody can enter heaven but by God’s mercy. So, at the end of the day, it’s God that calls the shots. Nobody should be so arrogant as to believe they have earned heaven because it’s that very entitled attitude that God despises.

There were no other group that Jesus was more critical of than the self-righteous Pharisees.

As Jesus said in Matthew 23:12, “ For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

So, in Abrahamic religions, everything is still by God’s mercy and grace in one way or another.

As for other religions like Hinduism, I believe they do need to rely on their good works to be reincarnated favorably to eventually reach enlightenment.

From islamic perspective, Salvation is a combination of faith, deeds, and divine mercy. It's important to note that while salvation is attainable through faith and good deeds, ultimately, it is Allah's mercy that determines one's fate on the Day of Judgment. Muslims strive to live a righteous life, seeking Allah's forgiveness and mercy to secure their salvation.

      That's a open lie,

      9:72

"Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment."

Jesus doesn't get anyone into heaven, only God does. Kiddo.

Most? No. I'm honestly not sure what a lot of them depend on.

Jesus taught us all the good things and being good with each other so basically doing the good things means being saved by jesus

Yes, many people see this as possible, but being a good person alone is not enough. We are also required to obey orders and prohibitions

Salvation isn't a free ticket to Heaven. Jesus will save us but we need to follow Him through a life of repentance
