- Guy asked me out 3 weeks ago when I was back home but I couldn't go (I wanted to go).
- Started crushing on him a little later for around 2 weeks, but stopped my feelings because I found out he's the player type.
- Haven't really spoken since then.
- Today, he calls me and asked me for the reason why I didn't go out with him ( wasn't the purpose of his phone call, he wanted me to give him company while he was driving back to his place, then we ended up talking for 3 hours).
- Stayed on the phone for 3 hours although he was tipsy/tired.
- Asked me where I want to live in the future, told him depends on the nationality of my future husband, then he said " I need to go to your father to ask your hand for marriage then" (surprised me that he said this considering he's a player).
-Told me he will take me to the beach for sure next time we're both back home.
- Told me to call him again tomorrow and not forget to call him.

Now, I used to have a crush on him not so long ago ( I find him attractive and nice), but not anymore, but I really enjoy talking to him because he's fun and I feel less homesick when I hear him speak my native langue.
Is he interested? I'm I misleading him by answering and keep talking to him? I still want to talk to him as a friend.

A friend of mine, when we were teens, she always wound up caught in a love triangle of some sort. She always would end up falling for guys that were take and do anything she could to keep them. Even be the dirty secret.
I've been cheated on and the girl knew about me. She was his "friend". She probably had a crush on him for years and thought she had rights to him in some way because she knew him longer or something. But the fact is he was in a relationship with me and she turned herself into the other women. It seems to happen often.
One more instance.
This is just a thought not something I've seen happen.
What if you met someone who is married but you don't realize that at first. Y'all hit it off you've been crushing on them. Really falling for them. Then you find out they're married. But they aren't happy they want out but they're stuck. Because their wife/husband is sick or depressed and they can't leave them until things get better but y'all really want the other. You don't want to walk away and never see them again. Would you be the other women/man in that situation knowing it's only for a little while?
