There are times when a partner betrays you in a way that just puts you into a rage. You want to hurt them in return and make them feel just as bad as you do. I understand the feelings.
But. . . how do you benefit from the revenge, other than maybe feeling better for a brief time? Does revenge undo the fact that they cheated on you? Stole money from you? Told lies about you?

Have you ever gotten revenge on an ex and a year later, you were still happy that you had your revenge? Did you ever feel that getting revenge made you just as low a person as your ex?
Revenge keeps you entangled with your ex instead of moving forward and finding a new partner; maybe that's why some people choose revenge: they don't want to let go!

What is your experience with revenge?

I was recently wronged by an ex wife a second time ( fool me once?) I knew what I was getting into but I over estimated how low she could actually go. The first time she wronged me I wanted to seek revenge but chose to stay to myself and find solace in other self-destructive ways. This time around I am finding it extremely hard keeping myself from exacting any revenge despite it being something I'm generally against. I've taken this time to reinvent myself in some ways and this is something I'd like to get others opinion on. How does one overcome these feelings in a long term and beneficial manner? I know there isn't an easy way to overcome this emotional pain but are there any ways some people have found to soften the blow?

But is it normal for 21 year old women to be obsessed with pooping? I've really been curious about this.

About a week into the relationship text me that she was cooking her favorite dish and it gives her enough farts to fill up a gas tank. I told her that was nasty and she said she was sorry, but it was true. Then she goes on to tell me her most embarrassing poop story about how she sharted at Burger King and almost didn't make it to the toilet. I really thought maybe this is just a getting to know each other phase where we share embarrassing stories, but no, it escalates from here.

One weekend, she's on vacation with her family and is in a hotel room with her siblings. I wake up one morning to a text from her asking for advice. I say sure. Then she tells me how she has to take a dump, but doesn't want to wake up her siblings by moving around too much. She was asking me if she should hold it or just go. I told her to just go, but she changes her mind because it's not as bad as when she has FBS (her made up family bowel syndrome where someone in the family randomly has to take a huge crap that they can't hold in).

Another time she sends me a picture herself pooping in a stall-less public bathroom. She complained about how there's no privacy. Then she tells me about how she got revenge on her RA for giving her a citation when she stayed in her college dorm. She broke into the RA's room while she was gone and took a crap in her toilet and didn't flush it. The RA came back and saw the poop, sent an angry email to the whole floor, and got her supervisor involved. My ex loved this and called it the best revenge prank of all time.

Is she mentally stable? Are there other girls this poop obsessed? Why was she like this?
