I know this kind of topic comes up a lot, but my situation has a twist.

About two years ago I matched with a girl on Tinder. We moved over to Messenger (because we both felt we vibed) pretty quickly and had long, positive conversations with a really good flow. After 4–5 days I suggested a phone call, and we exchanged numbers, though we never actually ended up calling.

Shortly after that she said she felt unsure about what she was doing, and the conversation slowly fell apart. Eventually she told me she didn’t want to continue talking, so I respected that and we went our separate ways.

Fast-forward to last weekend: she matched me again. She responded to my opening message with a friendly, genuine reply. She also said she remembered our previous conversations and that she found them fun. She asked questions back and kept the tone light.

I replied 1–2 hours later the same day.

Since then, it’s been around 40 hours with no response, and Tinder shows she hasn’t read my message yet.

If this were a completely fresh match, I’d assume a ghost and move on.
But this is someone where we already had compatibility and great rapport before.

So I’m curious; why do you think she chose to rematch with me after two years?
Even though she hasn’t replied yet, should I still assume it’s a ghosting situation, or is it different in a case like this?

I almost always include a related image when I post a question, like the image above, but not all questions posted by GaG users have an image included. If GaG deems the question a good one, and puts it on the main page, there must be an image associated with it. When someone, anyone, countenances or advocates committing violence to or even murdering a person by name, law enforcement should be authorized to detain (not arrest) them and spend the night in the can for questioning the next morning but no charges. THAT would cut back on the worst hate speech. Save your snarky responses. Its a good idea. Take the poll.

Firstly, all respect to those of nonbinary gender identity. Represent by selecting C (or applicable poll response) and commenting to weigh in.

Also; I do not deride SJWs. I'm more than qualified as one myself. It just makes sense for us all to ask one another to maintain healthy standards of political correctness, AND of simple interpersonal respect.

It's the mark of the true SJW, though, to hold oneself to consistent standards, and to admit it when one lapses. It erodes our good name when we over-enforce, or when we simply deny our mistakes.

This question is about first-world nuisances. Hope most of us regard it as a necessary nuisance when someone counter-intuitively corrects you on someone else's pronoun preferences (i. e. when you're told not to call that hottie in form-fitting jeans "her"). Stay on watch for those personal pronoun preferences.

And it makes sense to say "they" if you know an individual specifically prefers you to. And it's okay to say "they" if you lack knowledge of an individual's gender identity, or especially if you don't know her/his/their actual gender. (Note my example of the articulate solution. It's rarely asking too much to write or to say "he, she, or they.")

Whereas the trend of PRONOUN OVERWATCH is an unnecessary nuisance. If you know someone likes to be called "her/she" and someone else likes to be called "he/him," then why say "them/they?"

When I noted that this bothers me, it felt like healthy emotional self-honesty. It soon got me wondering if maybe being bothered is more of a guy thing, so I decided I might as well poll. I considered polling women only, but realized there's no reason not to keep it open to all.

Okay, I'm 95% certain this question has not been asked on this platform before. Maybe I'm incorrect, but I'm having a moment over here.

So remember the good old days of GAG, when everyone loved this platform and the moderators and admins were all "for the people"? Well, I don't. But I keep hearing about them. GAG's glory days. When the content was good, when trollers were rare, and when people actually put time into thinking of, writing, and responding to quality questions and MyTakes.

Many moderators still try, but they can't do everything. Especially when GAG's guidelines have gone to the dogs.

So what's my question?

If someone started a new platform which was like GAG but better, would you join it even if not many people were using it yet? Would you join the exodus to that said platform? Help it become something great?

What would you add to the list of guidelines/ideas the platform is built on?

Here are some things I would add to it:
1. Personalized feed/content.
2. Posts can only be featured for a certain amount of time.
3. In the "discover" page where you have something like Instagram stories, have an "anonymous" story that shows all the new anonymous questions by those you follow.
4. Moderators review all anonymous questions and remove them if there's no reason for them to be anonymous (I. E. when it's a question like "Do you like Trump or Harris").
5. Before making changes the admin holds a poll and only makes the change if over 50% of voters support the change.
6. A category for suggesting changes to the platform. Minimum of one user-created change per quarter if that change is supported by 50% or more of users.
7. Instead of removing borderline "adult content" that shows a little bit of someone's butt, have a page that can only be viewed by logged-in users who are adults AND who choose to opt in.

It's Wicked Wednesday, and we hate to give you a Math problem, but this could result in some interesting information about GaG members.

Let's define single as not being in an exclusive relationship, which includes, but isn't limited to, marriage.

Here's what we'd like you to do.

1. Take your age in years (AGE)

2. Take the number of years that you have been in committed relationship (s), not single (RELATIONSHIP)

3. Use this equation to calculate your single-percentage

Single-percentage = 100 times [(AGE minus RELATIONSHIP) divided by AGE]

For example, if you are 40 and been in an exclusive relationship for 10 years...

100 times [(40-10) divided by 40] = 100 times [30 divided by 40] = 100 times 0.75 = 75% of your life you've been single

NOTE: If you're not good at math or don't want to deal with this equation, just estimate your Single-percentage
