I am a moderate Democrat. That means I pretty much stand in the middle and see both sides in some of the Democrat and Republican arguments. I don’t support or believe in Donald Trump and won’t be voting for him now or ever. I also don’t believe in Kamala Harris and I don’t feel like she will be a very strong leader in spite of her aggressive mom-like speaking. I personally feel that neither of these people will be a good direction for America or the world, as I also continue to get a foreboding sense that darker days are ahead for this country. What they are, I don’t know. But I’ve learned to trust my senses, and the older I get, the less wrong I am.
Trump still maintains a strong following
In spite of all Trump’s lies, misconduct, and all the terrible things he’s said about disabled people, blacks, women, and veterans, he unfortunately still has the favor of a lot of people who choose to look past those things. Conservatives, especially southern ones and evangelicals, will still vote for ignorance as long as it supports their own biases and ideas.

We have seen that 4 years later, Trump still stands strong when we thought it would be the end once Biden got in office. But instead Trump boomeranged back and refused to die like Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. And the sad part is that no matter how much Democrats fought and still fight to take him under with all kinds of legal issues, or trying to get him on any kind of sexual abuse or misconduct he’s had with women, none of it really matters in the face of his voters. We’ve also seen a lot of black people - both men and women, Latinos, and white southern or evangelical women also stand their ground in supporting him.
Kamala also stands strong…but how much?
No doubt, Kamala has a good amount of followers and there is definitely support out there for her. Question is: just how much really? I think the media, which is still largely Democrat-run and influenced, is building her up to be stronger or more present in the polls than she really is. I also think most people still don’t really know a lot about her as far as she is vice president, was an attorney general, and had a relationship with San Francisco mayor Willie Brown in the late 90s, which some people have tried to use to sink her ship.

I understand that she has to work harder to show herself as strong and use her aggressive speaking because she is not only a woman but a black woman in the midst of a largely white frat boy club that runs the government, and then she will have to face the even larger frat boy clubs of world governments if she wins the election, especially those of meek and self-righteous Europe that often tries to act like they’re better than America but sits around and waits for us to call the shots in world issues before they decide what they’re going to do. How will they behave when a black woman is in charge of those shots?
I don’t think the results will be good either way
I personally don’t vote, though I’ve only ever done it once, and very likely won’t be doing it again. I do not believe in our world’s political systems and don’t believe politicians are in much control of anything. Corporations and forces of great wealth and darkness are what largely make the decisions in this world. Politicians just act like they are the authority. I’m not going to tell anyone not to vote, it’s your right. But if you really want to stop Trump and you really believe in Kamala, then you should do what you feel is best and vote. I don’t think the future will necessarily be better under either one of them.

As unfortunate as it is and terrible to say, I don’t think Kamala will win largely because she is black and female. Even in 2024. You still have many men who are both white and black Republicans that hate the idea of her being president and will work overtime at the polls even harder than they did when Biden ran. Another issue is that the Democrats keep pairing up Trump against women candidates, which is one of the reasons why the party is failing. It spends too much time trying to represent black/woman/sexual orientation as our party’s values or as formidable opponents, instead of putting in more time trying to be aggressive about the real issues. Republicans typically do not regard women and non-white people highly, so Democrats make the game easier for Trump to win.
If Kamala does win, it will be good in the sense that Trump is defeated again, but I still don’t think her own administration will do much better for America or the rest of the world.
