When someone, anyone, countenances or advocates committing violence to or even murdering a person by name, law enforcement should be authorized to detain (not arrest) them and spend the night in the can for questioning the next morning but no charges. Similar to shouting fire in a crowded theatre, it is a crime if it is intended to create chaos. Advocating violence, or uttering a threat in a specific manner would not be protected by the first amendment and is a misdemeanor

lock them up. The cops should be able to give them a good beat down too. When i sold police equipment we sold plastic batons. They came in 24", 30" and 36". cops had a lot more leeway back then.
