Search Results: listening while playing video games

I personally believe video games do not affect a person's behaviour in the slightest, but I overheard a two women today blabbering about how video games can destroy a person and make them violent. Honestly, I couldn't even finish hearing all because most of the things they were saying were so ignorant. I decided to move away before I jumped in to their conversation.

I used to have mild ADD (diagnosed) as a kid and video games never affected me whatsoever. If anything, in retrospect I realise how much gaming was nothing more than an outlet for me, you know, being hyper and painfully distracted. I mean, most avid gamers are probably introverts, with lots of them suffering from attention deficit disorders and even Asperger's.

Just think of this, sit for hours a hyperactive kid/teenager (having probably, impulsive or anger issues)... That'squite an achievement, isn't it? And if you can do this while he releases that frustration killing zombies or playing war games, and solving riddles and puzzles. Why not?

I don't play a lot of video games these days, and I prefer spending my time reading, doing physical activities, listening music, or drawing. But I played a hell lot of video games my entire life. And lots of them being very violent games. I have experienced every single home console phaset (from Atari to modern day PS4) and grew up to be a perfectly healthy, non violent adult.

So really, what the hell is so wrong about playing violent games? Do you suddenly turn into a violent psychopath, say, after watching a marathon of Quentin Tarantino movies? LMAO
Where is the logic in that?

Anyways... rant over. What do you honestly think?
