My fiancé asked me to cook his grandma something in particular for her dinner at 5 PM. Agreeing I said OK and proceed to set an alarm 30 minutes before 5 PM. Not hearing my alarm go off I woke up out of my sleep and woke up hour and a half later. I rushed downstairs to find his grandma and ask if she needed anything or wanted anything. She proceeds to say no and then she didn’t know what she wanted to eat and before I could ask her where this particular food item was, she was already out the door I even looked high and low. A few hours later my fiancé text me stating he asked me to do one thing and basically that he won’t ask me to do anything else.

I apologized immediately because again I understand if he feel like I let him down but on the flipside, don’t make it as if I don’t ever make sacrifices or help when it comes to her when I’ve literally helped him physically carry her inside the house once before. I’m not someone who throws up what they do for people in their face. But you will not sit here and make it seem like I’m not reliable when I’m more reliable than your actual family.

But yet he’s been a disappointment in the relationship. I’ve been promised dates. I’ve been promised get weekend getaways and I haven’t gotten that yet. So he may feel like I let him down in this one situation but I’ve been let down for months now.

I have recently been hanging out a lot with a guy in my friendship group. I have started to develop a crush on him. He got out of a 2 year relationship 10 months ago. We are both 21. We got in a play fight in the middle of the street when we were both drunk. And he buys me all my drinks. Ask me if I am getting with whoever I talk to when we are out together. Strangers think we are together.

Our friend is trying to set him up with different people and every time I ask him about it he tells me he isn't interested. I invited him to a party and I got told by him that 2 different people liked him but that he was interested in them. And he was being weird the whole night. Staring at me a lot, being really awkward, looking for me and moving closer to me. I went home for 2 days and when I got back, we hung out and he told me that he was going on a date with this girl. This starts to piss me off. Which I think is unfair. He doesn't owe me anything and I'm just upset because I feel rejected. So I decided to block him for a bit, till I get over this and we can just be friends again. I don't want to be mean to him because I'm angry. So, I think sometime without seeing or hearing from him will help.

Am I wrong for blocking him?

I'm not even sure why a man thinks he can waste a woman's time for a date then expect her to pay.

As women our time is extremely valuable and we could be wasting it on a man that'd at least pay for the date

So in online world, things work differently. You are not always aware of others intentions and interests towards you. Online world is full of jerks and sluts too only some are genuine. I wanna know if a guy does the bare minimum. For example liking your posts/stories/commenting but never sliding in dms or directly approaching for friendship at least. Should a woman consider wasting time on such guys or chase them? Well I have also heard women should not chase and that guys like the women who chase.

People say, "If you want to find a spouse, go to church." But, doesn't that seem inappropriate? 🤔 Aren't churches supposed to be about God instead of romance?

If it has changed, how?

I've heard nightmare stories of people dating doctors, police officers, politicians, lawyers, etc. When their relationship is on the rocks, or they divorce or break up, that person puts them through absolute hell that they can't even compete with because the person has so much power.

For example, there was a police officer who was only caught because her son had a sleep over and the child sleeping over witness her brutally beating her husband. What were the odds anyone would have believed him if it hadn't been a stranger's child who witnessed the incident? Or, the incident where the girl was shot in the head by her husband who's a police officer. And, the police didn't even properly investigate the incident. There's the family of lawyers down south who were murdering people.

Doctors and lawyers can sue their partner into the ground. Politicians and lawyers know legal loopholes and have connections. Doctors can hit you medically.

The ways powerful partners can hurt you are pretty brutal.
