Do you flirt with strangers, or do you have to get to know the person before you know you are interested?

I'm married now so I don't flirt much except with very old ladies (my wife doesn't mind in those cases since she knows I'm not actually interested). Yet I used to be a casual flirt as a bachelor.

I was always cheesy about it though and knew I wasn't the slightest bit smooth. For example, if a woman told me she was a nurse, I'd say something really cheesy like, "You can check my temperature any time," and then immediately burst out laughing at how lame that was. But I could usually get the women to laugh together with me at my corniness.

No friendship. Once you become her good friend there's a very little chance of you becoming her boyfriend or getting into a serious relationship. Go on multiple dates to know her better even if the date is just for evening coffee but don't fall into the friend zone shit. Good luck.

If she doesn't become my best friend, she has zero chance of ending up my girlfriend/wife (and zero chance of getting in my pants). Dates aren't long enough to get to know her, I need to be sure I want her, and I can't be sure of that if I don't know everything about her (which takes a few years).

The friend zone leads to the spouse zone, nothing else does (the divorce rate and marriage spats among people who choose the dating method is evidence of that).

Also coffee is disgusting.

There is also the issue that dates are boring, I;m not interested in boring women, I want the woman who would rather be at home or at the arcade instead of sitting at a table doing nothing. Then you have the issue of privacy, if you really want to get to know a person well, you need to talk about things that no one would talk about in a public setting.

I'm aware. This is a "slow and steady wins the race" type of scenario. It may take me much, MUCH longer to land a wife, but when I do, there isn't going to be a divorce, we won't ever argue or fight, and we won't need breaks from eachother. Time together will only require us being ourselves to enjoy it.
