So I’ve been chatting to this guy that I met online, but I’ve never actually met him in person yet.

I just went on a solo holiday there, and on my first day he’d texted me to say he’d miss me and that he hoped I’d have a great time with a ❤️ and xxx. I didn’t respond to the message when I was away, but texted today to say I’d returned home. He immediately loved my response and told me he’d missed me and then asked what I did during my holiday.

I just don’t feel like I missed him, if anything the holiday was a welcome break from the immediate replying to every message I send. I thought I might have liked him to begin with but the over enthusiasm is feeling a bit too much.

He also has four kids and is in the middle of a separation from his wife, and they’re both bitter towards each other. Which in ways I also feel is too much. Am I wrong or terrible for feeling that way?

I feel like I definitely can be.

For context, my brother has been dating his girlfriend, P, for two years. I absolutely adore P—she’s like the sister I never had. Long before they began dating, however, I met her brother, T. He and I are in the same grade, only about six months apart in age.

I first met T in seventh grade, when he was still a bit of a “geeky” guy. By the middle of eighth grade, I had my first boyfriend and met P for the first time around Thanksgiving. Back in seventh grade, I had a small crush on T, but it was nothing I ever considered acting on.

During freshman year, T and I had science together and started talking occasionally. I began to realize I still liked him. As our siblings grew closer, so did we. Whenever we passed each other in the hallways, we would exchange smiles—he has the cutest dimples when he smiles.

By the end of freshman year, I wanted to ask for his number, but I was too nervous. He was talking to someone at the time, and I didn’t want to overstep boundaries; if I were in that girl’s position, I wouldn’t want him giving out his number to other girls.

I hadn’t seen him for about three months until today, when we had back-to-school night. He was there with a friend, and he smiled at me like no time had passed. Later, he came over to my house because he, my brother, and P were going to the lake. When I saw him, my heart skipped several beats. I tried to keep my cool, distracting myself by making cookies and watching a show.

I don’t know if he’s dating or talking to anyone. If he’s not, I’m wondering if I should ask for his number and get to know him better. Before pursuing anything, I would make sure P was comfortable with it, because the last thing I’d want is to betray her trust or cross a boundary in our friendship.

Would you say it’s ok to talk to more than one person at once on a dating app? Or should you only speak to one person at once?

I’ve recently downloaded a dating app, and I’m talking to a few guys on it. I suppose getting to know them all at the same time and seeing if there’s one I like most. Is that wrong? If things were to get more serious with any of them them obviously I’d stop speaking to the rest.

If your boyfriend is sliding up on girls stories with heart eyes, or hearting everything they post and going out the way to start conversations with the girls in question; even when they don’t follow him back, still talking to his exes and saying their just friends now so it doesn’t matter. Then you bring it up and tell him it makes you uncomfortable and he calls you insecure and say he can compliment his friends am I the problem and insecure or is he disrespecting the relationship?

So this morning a guy came from the city to adjust/ fix the water meter of our house…. then when I’m on my way to work my mom texts me saying that the water bill is gonna be much higher and for me to be taking my showers at my boyfriends place on the weekends…(my toilet also happens to be leaking and that could be what’s making the bill a bit higher).

she was assuming that water is included with his maintenance fees but it’s not and secondly my mom always talks about my boyfriend anytime there’s an issue with something at the house…

im not married to my boyfriend yet and secondly I’m not gonna go there like a homeless bum just to use his shower….

was I right to be mad with her? Is she being irrational or am I mistaken here?
