He probably wants to make sure you're nearby (makes sense right). He also wants to know what you would like to do. It really is on the nose. Now if he spammed these messages before you responded, then sure it's weird. If you both were having a conversation though, you probably shouldn't date any more guys because they are all going to want to know that you live in a general vicinity as them and what you would like to do. Where you live doesn't have to mean full address, near the whatever park or walmart would suffice

"Where do you live?" = How far apart are we and are you worth getting to know because one or both of us will need to travel.

"What do you want to do?" He wants to do something that you would both enjoy. He is likely more caring and considerate than guys that don't ask that.

People go on dating apps to go on dates. They ask people where they live to figure out if they are nearby and are not a waste of time. They ask what you want to do to see if you want to go on the same type of date. If the guy didn't act like a creep or ask for your address like a stalker then I don't even know what the hell you are worried about.
