Polls: Dating

Most all my peers I know are married and/or have kids. I have another friend who is out on a date right now and another that is about to get married.

I am at the house all by myself. I never had a real girlfriend before and I am about to turn 28. I also haven't touched a woman in 7 years. Am I just unlovable?

I’m almost 29 and have never had a girlfriend or dated. At this point, I just feel like its gonna be a repeating cycle of going on dates, only to get rejected once a girl finds out how inexperienced I am. So I was asking this because I was wondering if this has happened to any guys on here who are or were inexperienced at an older age, or if their inexperience gave them no issues with dating.

So technically I’m about to turn 29, but close enough. But I’ve never had a girlfriend or dated (I’ve only been on 1 date 7 years ago) I’m not a virgin because me and the girl I went out with on that one date a long time ago hooked up at the end of the night, but I haven’t had sex at all since then. I just have a feeling that at this point, its gonna be really hard for me to date or get into a relationship because of the fact that I have so little experience at such a late age. I feel like its gonna be a repeating cycle of going out on dates (if I can even get any in the first place) only to be rejected once a girl finds out how inexperienced I am. And I doubt any girls in my age group want or are expecting to be a guy’s first girlfriend.

Not only that look for a house to live in is exhausting, but seeing other people is exhausting for anyone as well

Would you date "a 5 out of 10" who really had the hots for you?

This reminded me of someone I used to know back home. Her name was Gabby. She was many things I did not personally go for in a woman, but other men probably would've liked. She was short (5'4"/163 cm), 21 years old, petite/skinny, a B-cup, and with a slim waist and a pixie-cut blonde hairdo. She was very energetic and outgoing. She would also drink a lot and I don't like or drink alcohol.

She was a friend-of-a-friend; specifically my best friend's girlfriend's college roommate. So when I hung out with my friend on Friday nights to have dinner and play cards, and he brought his girlfriend, sometimes Gabby would be there, too.

We had a lot of things in common. We both loved the same video games, we both were artistic and drew pictures and wrote fiction. And we were both in college at the time (2017-2018).

She wasn't really my type physically, and there were too many offputting things about her for me to like anything about her romantically, including her saying how she was "bi-curious" (gross). And how she once said at the table, "I only like tall guys; like six feet and up! You know, like you!" I quickly told her I was "five-eleven, not six feet. I don't meet your dating criteria." It was such a f*cking turn-off and I already didn't like her much. Any girl who says that is dead to me as a dating option.

But she kept thinking we should get together and be a couple, and pretty much hinted at this non-stop, doing everything but outright saying it, very time I met up with my Leo and Taylor. I was single and looking at the time, and my Taylor thought me and her roommate 'look like a great couple'. But that just offended me even more, with the implication that some tiny,9 0 pound, hyper-active, alcoholic, high-energy pixie chick would be "my type" just because we had a lot of hobbies in common. I hated that people thought of me like that.

What do you think? Feel free to elaborate.

I heard that people care. I know I dont, but I'm also a technological dinosaur. I use an iPhone and I have to admit that it is mildly irritating to text with Android users who aren't using WhatsApp or another designated texting app. It kind of seems like regular texting isn't as reliable as iMessage or WhatsApp/GroupMe.

Like I said though, I don't really care. What do you guys think?
