Why do church bands repeat the same verses of songs 40 or 50 times?

I'm at a non denominational church this morning, and the praise and worship band keeps repeating the same lyrics like 50 times in a row... I mean Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven takes less time.

Why are there not many mixed genre radio stations?

Like a radio station that can play classic rock one minute then top 40 pop, country, or soft rock the next. Like mix up the genres, I think people would like that.
