Not surprisingly, the original Judy Garland film of 1939 wins by a landslide. Others did get some votes though.

I loved the colors and scenery of The Wizard of Oz. I also loved dorothy’s glowup and her song where it sounded like she rapped a little. And the scarecrow ugh (he could get it!). The tin mans oil scene was epic. The fight at the castle at the end was amazing. The Wiz however had the music!! I loved every song especially the scarecrow Michael Jackson. The scenery was pretty bad but ugh both films were so good. Return to Oz really creeped me out with the flood scene and the gold room. Oz the Great and Powerful creeped me out when Mila went evil. Damn all were good but its a tie with Wizard of Oz and Wiz

I go for the original... Is it the best? I don't know... I have not seen them all..

But I'm a sucker for originals.. Even is they are black white and no sound.. { if that option is available) 🤣

The day the earth stoot still. I thought the original was better. 😄 Even do the sfx is minimal.. They are far more creative than a computer. 😄

Although the original is certainly an amazing production, I found watching a live musical to be much more rewarding. I saw Wicked and absolutely loved it! And this past April it became Broadway's fourth-longest running show, surpassing Cats! An excellent show I would recommend to all.

The 1939 movie was played on network television once a year every year when I was a child, and that is how I know the story. Watched the movie at least 5-6 times.

Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wizard of Oz Broadway version with Jewel, Jackson Brown, Nathan Lane and etc. are just fine.

Return to Oz is trash.

The OG movie is iconic pop culture. It’s difficult to understand Western. Ivilization without it. But for me, Wicked is a close second.
