Yolanda Saldívar, the killer of Grammy Award-winning songstress Selena Quintanilla-Pérez (better known as just Selena) is preparing for her parole eligibility hearing later this month (March 2025).

Saldivar was convicted in the March 31, 1995 shooting of the 23-year-old ‘Queen of Tejano’ inside a Days Inn hotel room in Corpus Christi, Texas, during a confrontation. The “Como La Flor” songstress believed that Saldívar had embezzled over $60,000 from her fan club and clothing boutiques. Saldivar, a nurse, became a close friend, president of Selena’s fan club, and manager of two of her clothing boutiques.

Saldivar pled not guilty to first degree murder, but was convicted and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years. If granted parole, Saldívar plans to live with relatives and get a job.

According to a Texas Department of Criminal Justice official, Saldívar, housed at the Patrick O’Daniel Unit in Gatesville, Texas, has maintained a pristine record.

Saldivar's family believes that she should be paroled, and Saldivar claims that she is "a political prisoner" and has “a bounty on her head” among inmates wanting revenge for the Latina star’s murder.

Selena's widowed husband, Chris Pérez, pleads with the board to deny Saldivar's request and warns she should never have the chance to walk free.

What song by Sash! is your favorite?

To be specific, it's streaming on the Cinema Box app.

In my opinion, I don’t really like it at all. I get that the last Shrek movie, which was Shrek Forever After, was released back in 2010, which was 15 years ago now, and the first Shrek movie came out in 2001, which has been 24 years ago this year. I guess the animators think it was time to change it up and give a new animation, but not everything needs to be redone. Everyone is all over online and social media for those who grew up watching Shrek, saying the redesign is horrible and whatnot.

The Shrek universe is designed to be in medieval times, but if you all go watch the trailer, they added a version of the Shrek TikTok into the trailer, which I think is not needed and sad that is probably trying to relate to the times today, but it’s ugh.

They made Shrek look old, Donkey is shedding and getting old, and Fiona looks like she has no teeth.
