Danny Tanner or Bryan Mills? Who rises out of the ashes of this ultimate Dad show down as SuperDad? Justify your vote in the comments, if you dare!
I LUV both of these dads for very different reasons! They might be, to me, the ultimate representation of positive masculine energy and values in my lifetime. But i’m open to the debate! Who is better? Tell us all who you think deserves the mantle of “SuperDad”, and why!

I am 100% on Team Saget. Danny Tanner was probably low-key every villains boss in Taken. Danny Tanner definitely had “steal your family member for a ransom” vibe. Danny Tanner Definitely had some skeletons in his closet. But then once it’s Family time, he gives them 110% of what he can give.
**Extra credit Point** Danny Tanner had never had someone steal one of his daughters… then a ex wife…then the same daughter again (I never saw the 2nd or 3rd taken) for a ransom. The dude from taken needs to get his life together. Shouldn’t even be in this bracket. You could definitely learn a lot of “Skills” when someone is losing family members every hour and a half.

But thou digest impartiality. Brian had nothing to do with each kid napping. He objected to the spoiled little botch going in the first place. His stupid ex-wife had to flex her new hubby's wallet to try to emasculate him in front of the kid. Then the new husband killed her ass and framed him so he could get 12 million in insurance. And Bryan is left in the end, big dog winner. Tanner couldn't clean his toilets.

Mills and Tanner are dads in completely different situations. The ultimate Dad in Fiction, in my opinion, is Tim Taylor, played by Tim Allen, in the TV series Home Improvement.

His TV wife, Jill Taylor, played by Patricia Richardson, is at least in the running for ultimate Mom in Fiction.

Does Tim Allen have a big personality in real life or just on TV. I think it was his sense of humor that made the show what it was. He's got that same sense of humor in his other movies

Tim Allen has a new show called “Shifting Gears”. His on screen persona is very similar to Tim Taylor of “Home Improvement”. Which is in turn very reminiscent of his early standup comedy.
I never did watch “Last Man Standing”, but i did enjoy him in “The Santa Clause” movies. I would say that he portrays the otherwise gruff, caring father role pretty well and probably puts more than a little of himself into his roles.

Why not both? Someone who is as sweet and laughs if off when kids do something annoying or mischievous but turn into Bryan when it comes to safety of his kids
