I could listen to God Only Knows all the time.
I also love Kokomo and Don't Worry Baby.
But there's just so many I could listen to vs the Beatles.
Beach Boys. It was the first album I ever bought, and I can't stand the Beatle's for the simple fact that the old generation is so defensive of them and thinks they're the greatest band to ever exist.
A guy did an online contest and people were voting for Beatles albums over albums like "Paranoid" and "Machine Head"
That's the very same reason I can't stand them either.
The Beach Boys. I really do not listen to the Beatles very much but I listen to Beach boys music a lot.
Me too.
You're welcome
I saw the Beach Boys perform a few years ago. It was after Carl Wilson died and it was really just Mike Love and a bunch of studio musicians. He was probably 70 years old and was not as sharp as he was. Still, the whole crowd sang along and everyone knew all the words to all the songs. They were not that great but everyone had a lot of fun.
I bet that was quite the experience despite Carl Wilson being gone and Mike Love not being as sharp as he once was. Would have loved to see it!

I'd prefer listening to ABBA, but that's not an option.
I'd pick the Beatles. More good sings, and a wider range of styles, than the Beach Boys.
I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Hey Jude are direct opposites, which makes them interesting.
i used to put on my miniskirt and sing to abba in the mirror i've matured
@chrissykerdock Now you sing without the miniskirt? 😉
just like lady gaga
Ack.. These are not the best choices as much as either of these artists are good. To only listen to one or the other would end in boredom. And, they are not comparable. Far too different in content and style.
This is like the one song for the rest of your life question. There is no one song I want on "repeat" forever. No one artist.
An eternally varied playlist that keeps adding new artists and music and shuffles through older ones? That's the only choice I'd make.
Sorry, dude, it's the range of the Beatles! They didn't just have one "sound".
That said, I could listen to Imagine forever, so can I include the solo careers? I think morons who change the lyrics should be taken out and shot.
You're welcome!
Wow, nah lol I HAVE to go with the Beatles. I like way too many of their songs lol
I'll just say it... I don't enjoy The Beatles...
Neither do I.
I'll listen to the ones you mentioned, by the Beach Boys...
Yeah they are classics!
that's a tough one i love them both i guess the beach if it includes their box sets like pet sounds and smile the beatles have them too plus anthology i may have to go with the beatles
I would go with the Beatles , just because they have a lot more music than The Beach Boys do , especially if I have to only listen to one of them the rest of my life LOL
beatles because it is more deep and meaningful and even though they deny it it is a little cryptic
The Beach Boys❣️
I can only listen to "She loves you yah yah yah..." just a few times.
If we're going with old retro music, could I have Fairport Convention instead?
It's not an option sorry
the beach boys are nice but the beatles got too many bangers
a lot of them people haven't even heard too
Both options are awful, but if I had to choose between the two, I think I might have to go with Beach Boys.
The Beach Boys 100%. If I couldn't listen to anything else, I'd want their happy music in my life.
Right!
The Beatles were a more creative brand I think
Beach Boys no competition. I didn't care much for the Beatles until I was in my 40s. And while they do have some great songs the Beach Boys are more my style. I listened to them growing up.
Beatles. I definitely prefer them. Though I do like God Only Knows.
Beatles but the BB & ESPECIALLY pet sounds is revolutionary. They have done so MANY great covers that NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT!
Definetly The Beatles.. their songs were more classic, but The Beach Boys had some incredible songs.
The Beach Boys couldn't hold a candle to The Beatles.
I like both but prefer The Beach Boys.
Their songs were summer, beach vibes. Hence the name.
Barbara Ann is my favourite. Saved By The Bell show did a dance to it.
It doesn't matter - as long as the rest of my life is guaranteed to be very VERY short :P
Forgot my reasons: both are populistic and overrated crap. I see not enough depth and virtuosity compared with my own true favourites.
The Beatles because of their wider array of music styles
The Beatles because they’re better and most of their songs are cool. You can only take so much beach music
That's so tough don't do this to me , I love them both , they're both in my top 3 music artists along with Elvis
I prefer The Kinks! above both those bands tbh.
I’ll go with the Beatles
@Simslover92 Thank you for the Like
You're welcome
Beach Boys. Is there a bad Beach Boys song?
Not that I know of.
The Beach Boys, easy.
@Simslover92 Beach Boys, for sure
I would rather just go deaf
Beach Boys, of course.
And one of the first - if not the first - to use an Electro-Theremin in laying down parts of the sound track.
It’s hard for me to choose
Beach boys easily
I love Pet Sounds. My mother hates it tho
Beach Boys. I hate the Beatles
The Beatles I grew up on the Beatles though.
Kokomo!!
Neither, KMFDM!
The Beatles
The Beatles suck!!!
The Beatles.
