Beatles or Rolling Stones, which do you prefer?

one of these bands i hate and i have an entire tag on tumblr dedicated to making fun of them. the other one i love and i have a huge crush on one of its members. bonus points for guessing which lol

I figured you hated the Beatles, but I'm guessing you don't play any instruments or read music? What the Beatles gave to music is incomparable and nothing short of amazing. Don't believe me? Ask one their biggest fans - Mick Jagger!

I understand that many people don't like the Beatles songs or music, and that's fine, it's a matter of what sounds good to you. However, I've yet to meet a fellow musician or rock 'n' roll aficionado that doesn't understand the magnitude of what they did. Don't believe that either? Ask Dave Grohl from Nirvana/Foo Fighters or a thousand other great musicians.

That said, I also LOVE the Stones, but they're a very different type of band. They've had a ton of hits, great iconic songs, and fantastic albums. The Beatles themselves were ALL fans of the Stones! They've been awesome for many years, and I take nothing away from the Stones, up until 1980. After the "Some Girls" album, they didn't offer much of anything different or particularly exciting. There was an occasional song that scored on the radio, but the LP's were just retreads.

After the Stones had a few hits and were "competing" with the Beatles back in the mid 60's, Mick Jagger was asked "how long do you think you'll be doing this as a band?" He responded, and I'm paraphrasing, " oh, I guess about 3 years". LOL

As a man of wealth and taste, I'd rather release a crossfire hurricane on the Beatles, than to find satisfaction with that la-la-band. I have no sympathy for the Beatles.

I don't like the Stones most of their songs are too bland for me. You got me rocking, Jumping Jack Flash. Those are the only 2 songs where I can feel the hard rock, the rest nothing stands out much. I do like The Beatles. I'm not a huge fan (I was as a kid :) ) but I do think for their time I can understand why they were so huge especially the later songs where they were more out of the box on drugs and stuff ^^.

I like George Harrison's one song, It Don't Come Easy and Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder sing Ebony and Ivory and Rolling Stones is not all that bad, but I like some their songs too.

The Beatles. Just because some of thier classics. I only liked Mick Jagger once and that's when he made fun of P Diddy at a MTV. Music award live on stage. Otherwise I think Jagger is an Jagoff.

The Beatles were incredibly talented, but I really only like a few of their songs, mostly by George. The Rolling Stones have a slew of songs that I love. And I am a huge Ron Wood fan.
