Polls: Fashion & Beauty

One of my goals this year is to sew my own clothes. I made a cosplay costume last year and I really enjoyed the process so I would like to make myself something more wearable. Not sure where to start to help me out!

My previous MyTake about business clothing differences between men and women got me thinking. In our society it's generally seen as acceptable that women wear pants (albeit only certain types like skinny jeans or leggings), except for certain situations like formal or business occasions. On the other hand, it is unacceptable for men to wear any skirt/dress at all.

Is this fair? I'd argue that it is. Traditionally women wore skirts, but this changed when women started to be recognized more equally in American city. Skirts aren't as practical as pants, so women started wearing them, and it became acceptable. Men, on the other hand, have no reason to wear skirts. They're just dressing in a more unpractical garment, when pants have always worked fine.

That's just my opinion though, what's yours? Should standards allow men to wear skirts, remain the same, *or* go back to the old standards of allowing women only to wear skirts.

I'm in a search for these jeans. I love the light wash.

I found these on Etsy. I think they are pretty similar, almost the same, what about you guys?

Please take into account that both jeans have been shot differently, different lightning and so on.

This came up when I was planning spring break with some of my friends... personally I love them. They accentuate my waist, are incredibly flattering, and still look cute without showing a lot of skin. My friends, on the other hand, think that they are frumpy and look like diapers._.

Since we're in the thick of the cold season right now, I figure we could talk about which time of year has better fashion! Personally I just love the cozy vibes of winter more than summer, but I still love the summer too :)

I have very dark hair and pale skin. I would say on my forearms I’ve got one layer of long, fine dark hair covering all my forearms. Not like leg or armpit hair. Would this be a turn off?
