Yeah, everything moves back to simple, plain, and innocent in tough economic times. We are moving back to the basics and natural beauty is such a trend. All grey hair a couple years ago was the first sign.
I know people in cosmetics supply chain and the trend is real. it’s nothing that the Glamour culture and business can’t handle though.
@gayesblog "sloppy behavior" ROFL.
Not every woman needs to put on pancake-batter makeup like a cheap $2 prostitute.
She looks good and she knows she doesn't need makeup to turn heads. Nothing sloppy about that except she isn't some dimwit and actually has some self-respect for herself.
by the way DECENT men - not trailer trash "bad boys", etc. - actually prefer LESS makeup or natural looks. They DO NOT like overly madeup graduates fresh out of clown college
I think they are trying to show that they are human too and age like the rest of us. What they don't show is all the plastic surgery they have had in their attempts to stay young.
Rashida Jones? Beautiful lady!
@more_than_a_guy No, Jennifer Lopez.
Also beautiful!
she's still Jenny from the block
It's good. They're human too and shouldn't be expected to always be in fancy outfits and makeup.
And lot of them look better without makeup than they do with it.

why it even considered as sloopy behavior? Nothing wrong with post your bare face. Its your face, your natural face, face you born with. Nothing to shame for, even for celebrity. In the end they’re all human.
because she knows she looks good with her million dollar facials spa treatments, million dollar diets designed by celebrity dietitians from harvard. thats why she's comfortable going bare faced in front of the camera.
Just wait till she hits her 40s, by then you will no longer continue to see such photos of her bare faced.
she looks like she's 20... very pretty. being naturally baby-faced helps
i wear no makeup in my photos either, some of us look better without it
It's not courage , they just know its new way to get attention and more fame.
think of it as fashion style, as soon as this style goes out everyone will stop.
I know every other girl on GAG will disagree with me, but it's my opinion
I agree but mainly because i hated wearing makeup and haven't since childhood ballet
@DizzyDesii and some are like you too
Very famous people are just people. They don’t live in makeup but their jobs often require to be fully made up.
Seeing them barefaced is to be encouraged.
Honestly, it shouldn't even take courage to be yourself/show yourself, but unfortunately sometimes it does because the world/people can be cruel.
She is still pretty even without make up. We should accept ourselves with it and without it and be very confident of how we look. You don’t need to wear make up 24-7 to impress people.
They’re trying to relate to what guys claim to want but these girly girls just come across as try hard pick mes
After wearing makeup for so long, some people look like walking zombies without it. Makes you want to tell em to put their clown makeup back on
Or maybe they are comfortable enough in themselves to show their true faces rather than buy into the make up industry's agenda of making you insecure about your looks unless you buy their products that you later put on your face. Has nothing to do with being a pick me.
I encourage women to embrace their natural beauty and not let the beauty industry dictate how they feel about their natural beauty, just so they can leech money off of them.
PS: The fact men say they prefer women without make up should already be an encouragement to stop using these toxic products on a daily basis.
@TruthBringer i hear you but Im not really hearing you. I dont wear makeup so im not really affected by the statement. But its the fact that a lot of these “naturals” you speak of wear makeup the majority of the time and only try to be “natural” for a cause. Basically what kelly6 said below. The true naturals were the ones who hardly wore it in the first place.
@DizzyDesii Celebrities often wear make up because they have to, not because they of so crave to do so. But yeah, this MAY be another act of trying to be "different" and then gain attention from the public. And indeed, the true naturals are the ones who hardly wear them. I'm glad I'm in a relationship with one.
It's not sloppy at all. It's actually nice to see famous people as themselves without makeup on, it makes them seem more relatable.
Courage. Most famous people wanna look good for the camera, others just..."mang, i'm just a human. Dafaq you want me to do."
I think it would be sloppy to attend a big event like this but I think it's fine and normal to put it on social media. JMO!
i thought she looked just as good as when she's all done up
To be honest, I wouldn't even recognize it's Selena Gomez.
It's self confidence. Being comfortable in your own skin. Makeup is such a waste. I respect those who wear almost nothing to none at all. So much more soothing for the eyes. Hope one day this silly trend will fade
It's an attempt to show that they are normal people.
I admire this. I think it's great that they're confident enough to show their natural look.
They are virtue signalling. Nobody care. They just want to be praised as brave for doing nothing.
Very brave in my opinion in a world where we're constantly judged for imperfections. Also, on the internet people can get really mean and say things they can't say to you in person.
she's only part of the 5% of women who look good without makeup
95% of women look average or yuck without makeup
Women need makeup like fish needs water-
It shouldn’t have to be neither! It’s who they are. To say they are being sloppy is kinda fucked up. And to say that the have the confidence to post a pic without makeup is also fucked up. Girls shouldn’t have to feel insecure for not wearing makeup.
Superb Opinion
