Is this winter padded coat/blazer too big on me?

Just to clarify, I wanted a long winter coat but it's only available in standard version, no petite one and I'm 5'2 and they all manufacture it for 5'7 and taller women :( Thus unfortunately the coat ends below my middle calf instead of under the knees.

I think it looks nice but I am not sure. My mother said it's huge on me but it's a winter PADDED coat and she hates long coats so she's biased too.

The shop advised to actually go for LARGER size but I dismissed that and went with my classic, usual size. Should I size down, look for another coat or keep this one?

Seriously? Most people picked "it's fine"? It's way too long in the arms, it's too wide in the shoulders, and you had to cinch the belt a lot because it's too big in the torsos. It is meant for someone taller too. Looks like you're wearing a sleeping bag.

The arms do look longer but when I put my arms forward or up, the sleeves drop down quite a lot.
It is a padded coat so it looks bigger but the shoulders fit me well. The belt is cinched just a little, I'd like it to be cinched more (the belt came with the coat, that's the look).

As a petite woman who lives in a small country, I don't really have many shop options that offer petite range.

It looks too big, especially in the third photo. I know is padded, but it puffs out around your hips and it doesn't look like it's supposed to be that long. It looks like you borrowed it from someone. Sorry!! Just trying to be honest since you wanted honest opinions. You have a cute figure and this coat isn't flattering.

I think it looks good overall. I don't think the length is a problem at all. The sleeves are a little longer than they need to be, but that's not a bad thing with a winter coat. It should keep you warm so if you like it then keep it :)

I like it! I mean the sleeves might be best to be taken up a bit and honestly if you know a seamstress and can have a bit off the sleeves and a bit off the bottom I think it would work perfectly. it is cute long and I like it. But if you get in to a slushy weather you could ruin the peer bit of it.

The most important thing does it keep you warm? Looks don’t matter that much.

It is quite warm, hard to be in it while you're still at home when preparing to leave etc.
I just don't want to look funny or twice my actual size.

It's not petite and not even made in petite option unfortunately :( but I really liked the look of it and the fact that it doesn't have a damn hood (I hate those).
