Polls: Flirting

I went on a date and we hit it off really will and there was a lot of chemistry. He was also very attracted to me based on what he said. I've had guys look at my furtively before with lust, but this guy just full on stared for long periods of time with something like hunger in his eyes.. It was like I was something he really wanted to eat. Anytime I'd ask what he was thinking when he would do that he'd blush and say not everything needed to be said aloud. I'm guessing this means he really liked me? Has this ever happened to anyone else before?

I know he doesn’t like me because he never tried talking to me or asking me out, and I’ve made it clear that I like him so if he liked me he would have asked me out by now (he isn’t shy at all). But I swear it’s like he keeps trying to get my attention. My friends tell me he’s looking or staring at me and he turns around to look at me a lot. It seems like he wants to keep eye contact because I will notice him looking at me and he won’t look away until I do. He also shows up where I’m at a lot of the time and he tries bringing attention to himself (by talking in front of me, being loud) and looking over at me as if to see if I’m looking at him. I’m annoyed because I want to like him but I just don’t see it going anywhere and I’m confused whether he even likes me. What do you think?

Obviously I’m not going to take his hand as in keep it for myself—need to get that out of the way before you witty ones come in and make a joke about it.

Anywho, here’s the situation. Next week my friends and I are going to watch the movie “Us” which is a rated R horror/ scary movie. I plan to somehow get talking to my crush right as we walk in the theatre, walk right behind him, and plop myself down right next to him.

I’m like 7/10 sure he likes me (they aren’t great odds but he’s a more shy guy so I take what I can get) and plan to like, over exaggerate how scared I am and like grab onto his hand or arm or whatever.

Should I do it? Any recommendations for when or how gradually/how sudden? Has anyone done this before & if you have, did it work for you? I’m just really trying to make the first move and maybe this would be sufficient.

Any sort of advice helps. Anon off because they always love to talk about matriarchy or whatever and it‘s annoying. Anyways, yea. Please do let me know if I should do this. We’re pretty close friends so I know he wouldn’t find it weird if I sat next to him but uhh yeah.

Sooooo lol a guy I kinda like always fake punches me even, and sometimes he does stuff to annoy me and stuff. Is that a sign he could like me or am i looking into it too much?

I do mean playfully. Like as in a flirting way, she lightly slaps your shoulder or something. I don't mean she decks you in the face and breaks your nose.

I see a lot of people on here flirting with each other under anonymous accounts or without pictures in their profiles. I prefer to flirt in-person so you can see facial expressions and know the other person is who they say they are. How do you feel about the anonymity of flirting online?

When someone is flirting with you or leaves hints that they like you are you oblivious or are you conscious?

I'm oblivious as fuck. Mainly because I always talk myself down. It's fun to dream and make up fantasies in your head of what it would be like if something did happen, but when it comes back to reality I think to myself, "why would anyone like me?"

At first I think to myself, "I wonder if he likes me." Then I think, "haha what a funny joke. They're probably just being nice to me." Someone could flirt with me for a year and I still wouldn't know if you liked me until the words came out of your mouth.

Personally I just don't like to get my hopes up so I tear myself down before someone else has the chance. I don't want to be the girl who misinterprets hints, because then it turns out to be that you have chasing some poor innocent guy who has no interest in you at all. They're kind to you once and all of sudden you think they want to marry you. Everything is either black or white with me. Beating around the bush does not work with.
