I work in retail, as a cashier. So naturally I'm sometimes the only worker that the people who shop where I work come in contact with. And if they're having a bad day, they want to tell me... as if I have some psychology degree or want to listen to what they have to say. (I genuinely don't care what happens in their lives, but I pretend to anyway.)

Anyway, getting yelled at has become a near daily experience. Not by my bosses, but by the customers. So far it's pretty much only been over having to ID people for alcohol sales. (My state is SUPER strict about it, and no way am I losing my job for not IDing someone). Anyway, most of the time, people are down with it. They just reach pull out their ID, hand it over, NO ISSUE. But sometimes, even if the person HAS their ID, they just don't WANT to show it. And they for some reason always think like it's my PERSONAL decision to make them take one second out of their day to look at their ID. So anyway, yeah, I get yelled at a lot for that. As do literally ALL the other cashiers. For the most part we're all pretty desensitized to it. (though occasionally someone from another department will come down to help on the registers, and when they get yelled at for it they genuinely look concerned, and freaked out, where as the regular cashiers, we just kinda stand there like "Mkay, you're yelling, I'll just stand here till you shut up and leave".

Naturally these people look ridiculous standing there yelling at someone who has literally no control over anything in the store. But how many of you gagers have actually yelled at a retail worker?

Disclaimer: obviously both are vital but...

I'm asking this after a short chat with someone on here and he insinuated women crave love more and men crave respect.

For me, I place respect much higher than love because if my partner doesn't respect me-where does that leave us? He can love me up and down but if he doesn't acknowledge my autonomy, we have a much bigger problem than 'the thrill is gone'

Anyways, curious to see what other women think.

Will I get arrested?

Also, guys. Do you think it's easier to lift a curvy girl with a little more weight or a skinny girl?

Okay, so I work in a grocery store as a cashier. (And honestly, I flipping love it. I know it's not some ground breaking work, but I genuinely like it.)

But anyway, APPARENTLY when I'm at my register I'm very "smiley" and just seem super happy. I smile at all the customers, and ask how they're doing and what not. And well I just keep getting compliments from customers, and more than half the time, the compliment is "You have such a pretty smile". Not always those exact words, but it's the same idea.

I'm just trying to work out if they might actually mean it as a genuine compliment, or if they're just trying to be nice and make light conversation. And the compliment comes from both men and women (usually older women). I don't know if that makes a difference, but yeah. So when people say something nice about your smile, do they actually mean it?

Right now I feel very sexy, like an 8. I think it's the hair, the black dye is making me feel 100x sexier every day 😏
