America has one of the highest rates of recidivism in the world where 80% of convicts get rearrested in 5 years on average. This implies that the prison system doesn’t rehabilitate but rather just creates a system of more prisoners.

Meanwhile countries like Norway have a recidivism rate of 20% with their prisons focusing almost exclusively on rehabilitation, with even maximum security facilities providing art, philosophy, and even political science classes to their prisoners alongside privileges like an air-conditioned cell with video games, and their own kitchens. This implies that focusing on rehabilitation actually helps these convicted people to become part of society with great ease upon release. What do you think?

I’m a huge cat lover but when it comes to owning one I’m not sure because of a few things:

Expenses -as it will just be me looking after it
Leaving it alone when I go to work
Vet expenses when it becomes ill
The grief of it going missing/dying

So I had what I thought was the best date of my life. We had sex at the end of it, but when we left each other he said he would be calling me and that he wanted to see me again and we texted a little the next day.

But then all of a sudden he just stopped texting altogether for like 4 days until he then sent me this series of messages.

We were together and he was cheating. During that time I made a face at him and he said you’re so ugly and couldn’t stop laughing.

He is a narcissist and that’s something they do they completely disregard the current partner and make them seem less than trash in order to move on.

His own friends said the girl he cheated with was not better than me. Everyone agreed. Strangers on this etc.

We actually did have similar bodies. She was taller. And smaller boobs and smaller bum. But same dress size. I just had a much bigger bum and possibly a cup size bigger. But same size all over waist etc. arms.

She did have longer thicker hair. But other than that no one could say she was better in any way.

He even tried to defend it saying we were about the same. I wasn’t better and she wasn’t better.
Which definitely wasn’t true. He tried to say she just photographed really badly. But friends who seen her in person even said to him it’s not true she’s not better than me. He said I photo ugly too (never quite like how she did everyone has bad photos). And tried to say no you’re the same and claimed there was no difference between us.

She did look like his mum so maybe that creepy mummy issues thing going on?

So comment debate on YouTube, there's this female youtuber who has many shorts where people dress up saying this is what I'd wear as a teacher. Next is five outfits Monday to Friday, some of these are genuine others are jokes. The jokes are dressed quite scantily males are topless or wearing shorts, females dressed in bras and a jacket or booty shorts, fishnets, corset tops. On those videos she states definitely not: shoulders needs to be covered, midriff is showing, skirt needs to be knee height, not professional, probably not the holes in jeans, needs to be wearing a top. Other times she'll laugh in disbelief and shock at the silliness of clothing.


But anyway I stated I've just watched 20/30 shorts and have not seen one instant where she says these outfits are good to wear to school, and how she is sexualising them, and grooming young boys.

Where a reply states youtuber saying this is not good for school, that it is grooming, as it makes young boys think of youtuber in question, in the same clothes as these scantily clad videos she's split-screening her shorts on. And thus intentionally grooming thousands of boys at once.

I am EXTREMELY long patience down to earth sort of person. Hardly reactionary.

But this guy is starting to act as if I am high maintenance, as if he has to tread delicately, and it's really getting tiresome. Not annoying, I am just seeing him digging his own hole.

Particularly when he'll text something and it doesn't quite relate.

Like, for example, I have both parents & a brother. And he's texting me about meeting my mum & brother... and I'm reading it thinking so did my dad magically die or something

We met at a friends, just had coffee, nothing sexual.

I honestly feel that he's leading me on half the time - like I have sent him interesting links or what not and his response is very much... he didn't look / read them. Like one link he even recycled what I said about it.

Anyway this morning had some intense sexting - we've done little things a few times - but this went above & beyond. And now dead silence. To be quite honest I've often felt as said there's something off and to be blunt feel quite used this morning.

I could text but at the same time I don't want to given my suspicions & feeling used to get off on.

Just curious. The scenario I think people expect is the man asking the woman and then she confuses him and he comes and asks about it. But I don't know if that means he’ll get the most responses. But perhaps.

boyfriend has told me about his family but up until recently I haven't met but one of them.. and I've met a small number of his closest friends. That's fine. Except now I've met more family and they seem to really like me and one in particular has invited me to a lot of family orientated functions. Something obviously I've been left out of so far. Two things. 1- Family is so important to me and he has known this. It makes me sad to see a glimpse of everything I've ever wanted knowing this isn't real. It's for the time being while they are here because he doesn't want this dynamic. If it wasn't for them coming to town and him wanting them to save money/show off i probably would have never met them. They are genuinely great and kind hearted people that like similar things as me too. 2- how do I navigate this situation so I don't lie to them about me attending these events but also not put their family out there that they just dont want me in their life to that extent? He has always said that too

He goes out his way to see he, pays for all the dates. Has told everyone about me. And is saying I’m “his” etc.

I’m his first person since a 10 year relationship that ended last year. He’s never dated.
