I didn’t want another child at all and it’s a long story but I couldn’t get an abortion. My child’s father is a deadbeat. I realized that having a baby after your 20’s is extremely draining and then discovering the child has some sort of behavioral problem is upsetting and exhausting. My significant other and I cannot have biological children (due to medical issues) and he wants to use a surrogate. I am not comfortable with the idea of surrogacy especially if using my own eggs, I've been through a lot of medical procedures in the last year and mentally, emotionally I cannot bear to go through anymore. We could use a donor egg but that makes the whole process so much more expensive and risky... whereas I would rather adopt (an older child even) as there are so many kids out there who already need loving homes. What are you thoughts? (Oh, we are both in our 40s so the health of my eggs and his sperm could also be a factor in creating a healthy baby anyway).
