I was just going over someone else's question about height and re-reading the comments that were there. Well, apparently, 183 cm (6 ft for all those who still use the old units of measurement) is really tall, but where I live that's kind of average. I see people - both women and men - who are as tall, or taller than that. There must be something about the northern hemisphere that stunts people's growth. Then again, it could simply be because Australia, being the best, healthiest (thanks to Medicare, which is 100% FREE) and most advanced nation on Earth, this is only to be expected.

Height depends on the area, and everyone is different, with different genes and different histories.

Something that's "free" isn't always free. There's always a cost, and someone always pays. The United Kingdom has "free" healthcare, and yet the woman in this story would've had to wait 9 months for "further testing" that's "free" on what turned out to be aggressive breast cancer. She wouldn't have known and received her treatment quickly if didn't decide to pay $250 for an immediate appointment at a private hospital after her "free" appointment:

Yes that is definitely very tall for a woman. It's gigantic compared to ne. Most are talk compared to me. I'm 4'11". I love being the height I am. Men including my very dark sexy black husband live petite girls lol me and find us more feminine.

Considering that 6 feet is taller than the average height of all men, it's quite tall.

I mean Australian men on average are only 5'10", and women much less so, so yes, 6 feet is tall, even if Australians are shorter on average than most northern European counterparts, who also on average are less than 6 feet tall.

"Higher" taxes? How? Where? No, what we do is prioritise health care over the military-industrial complex, which is something that countries like the USA don't do (because apparently it's better to kill people than heal them). In any case, I would rather pay more tax than one day get sick and realise I can't afford surgery because I'm not covered by whatever shonky private health-insurance scheme I happen to have.

Thank you for converting that for us USA people. Neither of those options apply to me. In the States, that would be considered tall for a girl, but about average for a guy.

And you have it backwards, because the tallest ethnicities are all found in the northern hemisphere, in the former Yugoslav and Baltic states, and also in the Sudan.

It’s tall for women but almost average for men in the USA, actually average height for men here is 5’9” and 5’4” for women so I guess you get better nutrition there during your growing years but a lot more has to do with genetics, maybe there was a lot more taller people that colonized it over 200 hundred years ago

It's very tall for a woman - and more than 20cm or 8 inches above the average for an Australian woman.

I wouldn't say that it is normal where I grew up (Spain), but it is not uncommon either. I myself am 191 cm tall.
In Germany you see big guys and girls very often as well.

In comparison the the average height of a woman it is quite tall. I just checked on google, the avg woman in aus is 161 or 162cm.
