Would you eat it

I have had platonic relationships with the opposite sex and I can honestly say that I never wanted to have sex with the women who had always been just friends. Yes, it is possible. . . at least for me and some other people, but maybe not everyone.

Once upon a time, I tried to maintain a platonic relationship with a girl who had previously been a sexual partner. She had broken up with me and I still wanted a relationship, so I tried to maintain contact, hoping that she would reconsider our relationship. I simply wasted my time and, when I was ready to start dating again, having a "friendship" with the ex would have been a huge red flag for any potential future partner.

If I was still dating now, I would walk away from any woman who was trying to maintain an active "friendship" with a former dating/sexual partner. HBU?

This party, no matter its name, would be a challenge to the Republicans and the Democrats as I find both parties are full of ancient, outdated dinosaurs who hate this country and want to see America become a third-world country!! Biden hates America the same as Trump, Hillary Clinton, Ted Cruz, MTG, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, George Bush, Liz Cheney, etc. So, no one over 65 can run in this party!!

The mascot would be the Bald Eagle. The national bird not a freaking an elephant or a donkey.

This party would be hands-off on social issues such as abortion and LGBTQ rights. Think of it as very libertarian. Also remove our troops from all wars. End the wars

In regard to gun control, this party would push for common sense gun laws. Such as, if someone sexually assaulted someone, that person would be banned from owning guns. It is the same if someone is on the terrorist watch list.

This party would be common sense and fair regarding immigration reform. It would find ways to ensure skilled immigrants can become legal citizens while deporting dangerous criminals.

Now, regarding the economy, healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc., this party would push to make sure America is the best in the world regarding the economy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure while having the cleanest water and air. For example, find which country has the best healthcare system and copy that system. Also, ban fracking and mining.

It cuts taxes for working and middle-class citizens while increasing taxes for billionaires. It also cuts taxes for small businesses while increasing taxes for companies such as Amazon, Walmart, McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc.

Also, find ways to make housing cheaper, same with medicine and food

America needs to have the best healthcare system, economy, bridges, highways, airports, railroads, schools, ports, etc. in the world!!

Which feature is more heavy in finding a partner for men and women respectively.

I was shocked yesterday when my girlfriend expressed that she thought it was weird that I give a gift AND a card for Christmas, birthdays, etc. (I’m not talking about the generic “Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours” courtesy cards, I’m talking people you’re close with and exchange gifts with.

I was taught to always buy a card to accompany the gift, and that the card and it’s sentiment is more important than the gift. And when receiving a gift, I was raised to read the card first, take in what’s written in it, and thank the giver, before even opening the present (upon doing so, I’d then thank them for the gift).

In her world, cards are just something you give if you’re not exchanging a gift with someone, just an acknowledgement. If you’re giving a gift, an additional card is unnecessary, unless it’s something like cash or a gift card. And she asked me if I had ever noticed her family doesn’t give me cards with my Christmas gifts, and I guess I haven’t, haha.

I’m not offended by it or anything, I just was surprised because I thought my way was standard. And she said the same, and we’re both questioning it now because we both have small families and subsequently small gift-exchanging circles.

So I’m curious what all of you folks think. Do you give a card AND a gift? Or a card OR a gift? I guess I’m primarily concerned with opinions of people from North American countries/cultures that I’d be around, it might be totally different elsewhere, but all opinions are welcome👍
