I have been fired from 13 out of 25 jobs I have held.

When I was 16, I was a lifeguard at a fitness center. This is probably my first non-seasonal job. The location had both indoor and outdoor pools. I took my job very seriously. I was a very strict rule enforcer. As a lifeguard, my job description entailed enforcing rules. I confronted and even scolded managers on duty for failing to keep their two-way radios on them, as there were many times I was left alone at the indoor pool responsible for the safety of patrons. One day, there was a tornado warning, and I cleared the indoor pool of swimmers. The manager on duty came back to question me as to why I closed the pool and tried to get me to reopen it, and I outright refused. With the thin roof that is meant to open, it was a clear danger to everyone inside the pool when the shards and debris come collapsing down.

One day, I was called into the office by my actual pool manager. I was told I received too many complaints and if I received one more, I was to be fired. I felt this was a forceful resignation and I left. In response, I was placed on a blacklist for life to not be rehired by the entire hospital/health system.

This is an example of the bullshit I had to deal with. Workplace politics, pissing certain coworkers off, etc...

otherwise one will become angry when things don’t go their way. In essence this is a child behavior who has never been taught …

my father was like that…we were all embarrassed by his outburst behaviors when we went out with him to restaurants that he actually went to the kitchen to tell the workers about their cooking (he used to work in restaurants)

but we know about his childhood issues so we just loved him that way and stayed away from him.

Sounds like a you problem. You overstepped your boundaries and sounds like you made yourself a nuisance to your co-workers. It's not your job to scold anyone, especially your management.

If you feel someone is messing up rules wise, you can have a discussion with them about it or go to their management but you aren't their boss and they are free to do what they want. If they aren't doing their job correctly then their management will handle it.

Well if it is a clear safety issue that presents a danger to me or the patrons I watch over, then yes, I will address it right then and there. I don't hold back when it related to safety. I am very rigid with that, then and still till this day.

Again, not your place to tell them what is and isn't right and expect them to bend to your will. That again is a you problem.

So see why I am on disability? I have not been able to hold down work. I am very particular and rigid on things and cannot adapt well to environments that sway from this.

Although, my concerns were not entirely incorrect either. I will not sway from certain modes of operation. I noticed when I started raising concerns, I began to see thay walkie talkie clipped on their belts more as they walked in front of the windows of the indoor pool.

Never said you were incorrect in your concerns. They were probably very valid. How you handled it was the issue.

Again, that's you working against the grain. Your way isn't always the right way. You'd think you'd realize this given your past. You have to work within the parameters of the job. If they don't use radio codes, then don't use them.

Well you probably see why I may need to remain on disability. I cannot adapt well to certain circumstances. Again, it is not that I was lazy and didn't want to work. It was that I couldn't adapt well to certain situations.

Anyone can learn to adapt. Your rigidness is just you being stubborn on believing you are always right. That mentally leaves you at the age of a young teenager. You need to mature so that you can learn to act like an adult and join society.

Hey, you could probably see why I was attracted to teenage girls in my early 20s. My maturity more closely aligned with a younger age.
