Trending & News What Americans? You are legally an adult at age 18 under US laws.
You can have sex. Enter into a legal contract. Serve in the military. And not answer to your parents any longer.
Now as to any individuals readiness to behave like an adult, that day may never come.
As the age of technology progresses, I think age groups need to be redefined. The scientific ability of a child 10 years ago is not the same as today. But conversely, their emotional intelligence is not the same either. I think this requires scientific study.

Yeah, I'd say that's about right realistically. You're out of school and have to face real adult problems by then like getting a job and paying bills and worrying about maintaining stuff like your home, car, etc.
that's not so far off, it's earlier for some that are forced or have the fortunate brains. It's later for some. Frankly, it's never for others...

These days it does. Kids have a protracted adolescence.
Americans are incredibly immature. They don't even notice.
Adulthood starts whenever you are able to support yourself and know what you want to do with your life
Pretty much;the average U. S. male marries for the first time at about 30 to 28 for females.
kinda but i would say it's more 25
Yeah, 25 is more reasonable as that's when your brain fully develops
I'm sure many wish it were that way... lol
Nah, later.
